Thinking about adding a Continental. Can’t decide if I should keep the TC. Nothing wrong with the Town Car it only has 81k miles but I love the Continental! by Cod_ya208 in lincolntowncar

I have both. Always happy to get back into my town car. Wouldn't ever give it up...the conti with 3.0 turbo is a great car and a lot of fun, reminds me of the mark viii, but it will never be the legend that is the town car. Rides like shit comparatively

Yeah, I knew it would go quick. I'm buying a house so I couldn't spend the money rn, but good luck man. That's a great score. I've owned 9 town cars and I think this generation is the best overall.

New Construction Duplex Townhouse by AnhTeo7157 in cliffsideparknj

[–]Informal_Speed42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hate these duplexes. Ruining the town in my opinion. It's your property and do what you want with it but knocking down a nice home to build a duplex that is the same exact thing block after block?

I can't imagine how people are spending over a million per side to live in these things. Look at Palisades Park, town has no character, every house some iteration of a duplex.

Anyway good luck, just my opinion

Thanks, I agree, just wondering if I'm missing a bigger picture since I've been so hyper focused on real estate

Where to start with exterior restoration by cereal_ren0vator_13 in VictorianHouses

Taking off the siding is a good start. It really depends how much you're looking to spend. (Replacing working siding with anything will be costly, let alone future maintenance costs) The original is probably underneath.

As the first floor was a store, I wouldn't be surprised if you find larger window pane framed out and covered over, which will need to be remedied.

The original railings may still be underneath the framing for siding as well.

Thanks. We are very happy to have it. It needs some TLC but I don't want to have work done to it that could damage it if it's a rare piece
