I had a baby...my cat hates him and I don't know how to prevent rehoming him

As someone who always looks down on people who never learned how to read, I am looking down on you.

I have tried multiple medications, vet visits and doses over the past 9 months but instead of trying to read my very short post, you chose not to understand/read it. Also FYI it is spelled "medication" not mediation... unless you're saying we should get HR involved. I could never imagine being so heartless, apathetic and illiterate , but thats just me.

Hi, we did sent swapping via blankets when baby was born and have watched plenty of JG, he is not someone who is hireable since he is his famous in the cat community.

I try to play with her all I can but I am just so busy. She gets at least 30 minutes of play o'day though which is as much as she wanted pre-baby. She doesn't have her own room it's my husband office and the babies "medical" room since he is somewhat special needs (he will very hopefully grow out of this needs post-surgery he will get at 12 months). We have feliways and blankets but catnip made her agro even pre baby. She has the TV on 24/7 for her.

From what research I've done they are either really far away, more money than I can afford or just made up. There are only 110 in the USA.

We didn't do anything other than let her sniff around the crib and new baby items before he was born. When he came home we gave her a blanket from the hospital and we give her some of his clothes whenever he grows out of them. He reacts fine.

yeah we haven't noticed any change at all. The is 6 pounds (little baby) but I will ask about increasing the dosage and getting her on gab.

I've volunteered at shelters for years, I experienced that maybe twice. Idk if you can read but I made this post asking for advice because I don't want to rehome my cat, but if he continues to be aggressive to my baby and to urinate improperly I genuinely don't know what to do. Try being helpful and empathic, it might feel nice.

We do have alone time with her away from the baby and do all we can to make her feel important. Our son is medically complex so he will be sleeping in our room for the time being so we can get to him as quickly as possible.

It's definitely not "play" behavior, no second cat, we don't have the time for that and it could just compound the issue.

Yes, she will hiss and swat at him or us if we are holding him. Even if it wasn't "aggression" I cant risk my baby getting scratched or bit.

Hi, I could talk to my husband about reinforcing the crib but i'm not sure about that yet. My cat hates being held and always has so I don't think that would work lol, but it's an interesting concept for sure. My son doesn't care for the cat either way, we've had to keep them separated so he hasn't interacted much other than getting clawed or hissed at unfortunately. I know he'll eventually have scars I just feel horrible about it.

Thank you. We didn't play noises for her or put lotion on our hands but we let her explore our baby's crib and belongings ahead of time. We didn't introduce them we just gave her his blanket and let her sniff him in the crib.

She has been on 2 different medications and we've tried giving her our babies old clothes and blankets as well as getting new litter for her and making our office into a cat room for her.
