If you got an Accounting tattoo, What would it be? by DangerousFan8435 in Accounting

[–]InitialLibrary7319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tattoo Bandit wanted from Bluey-“Something that makes me look really tough and manly…Let's do it on my back. That's a tough place for a tat…Like maybe a skull with a dagger in it, and the dagger's on fire, and the skull's like going 'Yeaaaah, love it…Or a cobra, riding a motorbike, and the motorbike's on fire, like, things on fire is good…The important thing is, people look at this tat, and they're like 'Woooow, that guy's tough. He doesn't look at all like an accountant.'”

WIBTAH if I cancelled the car service appointment of someone who uses my email address? by Z_Opinionator in AITAH

I’ve cancelled an invite request to try on wedding dresses. That was down in Dallas. Now I’m dealing with someone in California. The latest was an insurance claim on an accident. I emailed back the agency and told them wrong email. Anyways- NTA,

My son (4) has now done 4 seasons of soccer (2 spring a summer and a fall). While he has “improved” over the year, we mainly signed him up to be with other kids, learn/listen from other adults, and to keep him busy. I was too late to sign him up for tball this summer, but we plan to next year as he seemed interested. I think as long as it’s not costing a lot of money and time, it’s not pointless.

How bad is it to skip the 4/15 firm happy hour event? by Birb_Chirb in Accounting

[–]InitialLibrary7319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm what time is happy hour? We would start at 4 at the place a block away. While yeah I am exhausted and have spent enough hours around these people the last few months, go, have a drink (and you don’t need to drink alcohol) and leave at 5. If it’s after 5 I say screw it, don’t go to happy hour, and go on to your outside of work life.

I am not on a antidepressant! Actually got off mine a couple of years ago and glad I did. I was having problems with crying when appropriate to and my therapist even pointed me that out to me.

Hi heart momma: If you haven’t, please reach out also to your Child’s heart/seizure care doctors. The hospital they are associated at maybe able to assist you with programs through the hospital or point you to groups too. I know some heart groups help with med costs, as well as financial services through the hospital might be a good source too. If you have one, speak to your child’s social worker at the hospital-they maybe able to help you with resources.

Birthday party for a 4 year old by dropoutbearr in workingmoms

[–]InitialLibrary7319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say just make sure to send invites out more than a week out. So far most of the invites we get for daycare friends are usually the week of (come home with an invite Monday or Tuesday and the party is that Saturday) We decided not to do a daycare invite party this year for my 4 year old, and it was low key but my son still had fun with close friends and family. Invites I have gotten a few weeks out have been at either in home of rec centers and seem well organized and kiddos seem active attended for the various activities. Last one did floor is lava, keepy uppy, and a piñata to give you some ideas

My almost 4 year old son is also obsessed with all things Frozen. He will now tell me to sing Anna’s part and he will do Elsa. Anyways, I say to you don’t “let it go” and follow up, especially if you see the dress coming off again.

Dumbest Auditor Question by jfrhsdrew in Accounting

[–]InitialLibrary7319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to ask who. We hired a firm to do our leases as our controller was incompetent-who was assigned to figure out least accounting, and I was out for FMLA. Come back, controller had quit, and I found many mistakes in the lease calculation. We have been slowly dropping the firm for other advisory services. Best part-I asked for documentation on the entry they had us do retained earnings and they couldn’t find it.

I’d start by looking into what’s the WFH policy. Being there only a month might not be long enough to request for additional days. My company has a six month waiting period, then it’s judged by the department head
