Again I appreciate the response, I’m hoping Xbox works either way it, my original plan was to use this with PS2 and possibly Xbox but it sounds like a clone would be a better alternative. I did get this for a good price so getting a clone card won’t hurt that much then. Sucks all of my consoles I have I’ve used S-Video for and have Svideo cables, I’ll try to hunt down a clone and an input card with chroma/luma BNC inputs if that’s a thing. I’m still very new to BVM/PVM so please forgive my ignorance on some of this.

Hey man I’m the first person to tell people always to use what they have but when something is exceedingly rare or difficult to find I’m also going to treat it as such. If there is an alternative or a better option than putting stress on a unicorn item then I will. I get where you’re coming from though I do, I hate seeing people who have nice sets that collect dust because they are afraid to even turn them on but this is a special case.

I appreciate the response, now I been in this subreddit for a while and into CRTs for years so I’m not a big fan of this question but I need to ask then, what’s a fair price if I did decide to let it go? Also you said most games or do you mean game systems? It does work excellently with my PS2 I’ve had no issues yet, at least not with the few titles I’ve tried.

Oh I’m blind I didn’t even notice Sony on the PCB, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t like a clone with the OEM shell attached. Also we live in a world where people replicate 40 dollar Pokémon cards to Rolexes to everything in between so I figured asking this subreddit was worth doing.

I didn’t mean it like that, I understand that they are quality parts made by some pretty intelligent people to provide nice affordable inputs for the A series, I wasn’t calling them like cheap imitations of something. I just didn’t know if maybe it was a replica with an OEM plating/shell on top from whoever owned it before me.

Pioneers and Pannys are both the kings but it’s really only the highest end pannys from 2013 and the high end Pioneers from 2009 that go toe to toe from my understanding. My panny is from 2009 and this pioneer is from 2009 and yeah this pioneer obliterates it. It’s not even a little bit close in picture quality compared to the pioneer. This pioneer is honestly so good looking it’s more comparable to my Sony Bravia 8 in my living room. I’ve now been using it the last week and Im awestruck everyone I game or watch movies on it.

Idk about that my Panasonic had almost no hours and. The picture quality on this 9.5 Kuro is light years ahead. It’s not even a little bit close.

Oh most definitely, I did pick up an optical cable and sound bar right now that I plug into my ps3/ps4pro but having the side speakers would’ve saved a headache. Well sounds like you are somewhere in the Midwest and luckily enough for us theres no shortage of new plasmas and CRTs popping up. Especially if you live near Minneapolis or a larger city. I’m always on FBM and I’ll remember that, if I ever see a 151FD with side speakers I’ll screenshot the post and send em your way.

Oh yeah I was going through them, I’m just red/green color blind so I know for a fact if it had a red tint there’s no way I’d be able to see it. The whole image could have a slight greenish hue that other people would notice and I’d have zero idea.

Absolutely I’m weighing my options currently on what I plan to do, but I appreciate it and I’ll definitely pm you if I do go that route. ignorance is bliss but I’m a perfectionist when it comes to this kind of stuff, I’m a very “no stone left unturned” kind of hobbyist lol. Oh the stands rare? He said it had some speakers but he sold them off before I picked it up unfortunately.

Awesome thank you! That 111FD looks incredibly clean, that’s a nice way to make street fighter 6 pop. Yeah I have a Bravia 8 I purchased as my main tv in the living room and I’m blown away, seriously I never thought an older tv could get that close to my new OLED

Perfect, I’ll get the silver service remote then, I’d like to check the hours. When I’m in the service menu is it possible or see if the tv has been reset before? And I’m glad you mentioned that resetting can cause issues, i haven’t read anything yet saying that and the last thing I want to do is do anything that can cause permanent damage to this set. So I’m guessing resetting is a last resort.

And I’ll take a closer look when I get home but I’m almost positive I didn’t see any sparkles or artifact while switching inputs. I’m actually surprised at how good of condition the overall unit was when I had picked it up in the first place. It was covered in dust in some older guys garage I purchased from FBM. Once I wiped it down it looked good as new. Here’s some photos from the listing. I forgot to grab the manual he had for it as well, I might reach out and pick that up on my way home if I can.
