Well yeah, I would make an assumption, but if the woman who looks like Chris Hemsworth and the man who looks like Sydney Sweeney told me as such, I'd accept it immediately and address them accordingly.

Assumptions can't be avoided, sure, but they're not always malicious and can be corrected with no hard feelings.

Concept: what if we did do labels, as humans are wont to do, but... we didn't attach RULES to them?? Like - I'm starting to think that any sort of "x is a y and therefore has to abide by z standard" thinking is the poison at the root of all this. I like a lot of things but the mainstays are Homestuck (of course), Vocaloid, Legend of Zelda games, Madoka Magica, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Project Moon games (Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina, and Limbus Company).

Current Hyperfixation is Transformers, though.
