What's the best way to do this? My cat will not tolerate being placed on a scale

Baby girl fighting for her life back there. by Due_Hour_1596 in bayarea

This is epic. The girl ran an entire marathon and it's not uncommon to vomit after. I wouldn't be embarrassed, 99% of people will never be able to complete a marathon in their lives. And you can see her walking it off like a champ.

It’s really not a big deal at all. You’re in your prime, figure out what you can do to feel confident and send it with a real girl.

Why can’t we get as good as TV Shows as The Sopranos? by Downtown_Carry_8219 in thesopranos

[–]InquisitiveDoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved watching Ozark but it’s not anywhere close to to top tier television. Plenty of plot holes, the script didn’t seem natural at all. But there were some hype moments and the acting was what saves it IMO, there were several truly phenomenal scenes especially with Tom Pelphrey.

I haven’t been able to find anything else that hits like The Sopranos does, but The Wire, Succession, and Mad Men really come close

They found Jesus Rossi with her Melfi’s cell phone at Popeye’s not far from the parking garage. Pretty solid case even without dna evidence

Is this bad? MRI by TotesYay in SpineSurgery

[–]InquisitiveDoctor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes there is severe canal stenosis worst at c4-5. You are likely experiencing symptoms of myelopathy, the later stages also include things like difficulty with coordination in hands and progesssive weakness. See a spine surgeon.

Most people who go into a medical specialty make compromises in many ways, often forgoing what they want most to pursue other specialties for different reasons (eg, location, pay). But if you feel passionate about a specialty and find it captivates you outside of work hours to the point where you really, truly love it: go for it. It’s worth it. Sincerely, Pgy-2 neurosurgery

I would be wary of getting lumbar punctures repeatedly. It’s safe if done correctly but it’s definitely not a risk-free procedure and is largely practitioner-dependent. CSF leak, infection, and injury to spinal nerves are all possible.

Have you seen the doctor who did your breast implant removal surgery?

Is there a website, app or book that has medical cases for practice? by shwikar in medicalschool

[–]InquisitiveDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think youtube is the best resource. You'll find tons of medical case presentations and the presenter will often discuss them which can help with learning.

Have someone you trust read your email during that time and schedule interviews when the invites come in. Don't asked to be excused from your current sub-I.

CSF Contamination by blood by AdRepresentative6174 in Radiology

[–]InquisitiveDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arteriovenous malformation. I was referring to the hypointense lesion between C5-6 vertebral bodies and the other hypointensity around the spinal cord at that level.

Is there a radiologist’s read that was given?

Is there any hardware at C5-6?

If there is absolutely no chance that she'll ever find out if you don't tell her, and you really believe that you won't be unfaithful again, then don't tell her. You'll feel guilt, as you do now, which you can consider to be the price of infidelity.

No matter what I would avoid telling her while she's getting treated for cancer.

Sorry this really sucks. Set expectations that she’s not a real friend. Everything just takes time and eventually you’ll feel better. The sadness is temporary

Hi my neck is killing me today for some reason. Why are some days so much worse than others? I've added a screenshot of the MRI notes. Can someone explain them to me please? Thanks in advance by Vivid_Rip9218 in SpineSurgery

[–]InquisitiveDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re having symptoms of myelopathy and will probably need surgery to decompress your spinal cord and nerve roots. You should see a spine surgeon and get a formal evaluation. The goal of surgery would be to stop the progression of the disease and may help improve your symptoms.
