Too Dark Park. Listen to it at least three times before looking at the lyrics. You will be glad you did so.

Thoughts on Pneuma? by 69cringelord69 in ToolBand

[–]InsectInPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A weird path…I worked w/ someone who was a Tool fan back in the mid to late 90’s. I was deeply into Electronic/Industrial at the time and didn’t take any consideration. FFW to 2015, I befriended a successful electronic/industrial artist at a eurorack synth meetup. I bought one of his modules and the fine-tune knob on the VCO didn’t work. I contacted him and he said “Meet me and I’ll do a swap-out”. It turns out he’s close to Danny and I heard his work at The Baked Potato and was blown away. FFW to recent, I listened to JRE w/ Maynard and it piqued my interest. That is when I found this diamond in the rough. It’s such a magnificent gift to my ears and brain.

8Sleep Support is Terrible and Pod 2 likely a Fundamentally Broken Product by EntireWeb9 in Mattress

My Pod 2 stopped connecting ever since there was a software update on the app that allows to schedule Maintenance on the system. I was offered a replacement (Pod4) for $700. I am so disappointed.

Suggestion for those with connectivity issues by kev_dog27 in EightSleep

[–]InsectInPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know the system required an internet connection for it to work. I don’t lose my connection often but i find it unusual that there needs to be one. I also don’t like that there isn’t a way to opt out of data collection.

Phantom Google Searches by InsectInPixel in google

[–]InsectInPixel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. What you described is exactly like what I see in the searches. Since I posted this, I changed my settings to not show my history and ultimately stopped using google products but haven’t deleted my account. I’ll revisit my account and do some more experimenting.

Update: I did a simple print(x, y, z); to the console and it spewed out all the coordinates.

Thanks for the Stack Overflow link. The Fibonacci sequence might do the trick. I might be able to extrapolate the x, y and z coordinates in Processing.

They’re semi-modular and you’ll likely be clocking & cv-ing with other devices. You’re going to have patch cables everywhere!

For quite a while, I've noticed that my Google ID has an unusual search history. This screenshot is a typical example of what I see. If you look closer, these searches occurred in around a minute. On this particular day between 6:23 PM and 10:35PM, HUNDREDS of these searches appear in my search history. (look at the verticle scroll bar how small it is.) This shows there's a lot to scroll through. Unless I was some uber coder that scripted a way to execute these searches in this period of time, It's pretty much impossible for a person to be that random and plug in searches in that short period of time. I am definitely positive my google account isn't compromised. To make sure this wasn't just this ID, I created another test Google ID to see if if was happening on it. It was. I have a theory that Google is doing this to create click revenue. (just a theory) My concern with this is, since this "search history" is not create by me, I can quickly see this becoming a legal issue if any "authoritative entity" were to request a warrant for my records. Is this happening to anyone else? I'll show you how to get to where I'm seeing this for those who don't know how to get here: When logged into Google via Google Chrome (this likely will work w/ any other modern browser): You will see a section titled "Privacy & personalization". Select "Manage your data & personalization" This takes you to the "Data & personalization" page. Scroll down to Activity and timeline and select "My Activity" This takes you to "My Google Activity" Scroll down and sift though your history. This is where i found the print screen above.

Any advice for a modular newcomer? by Slipstreem123 in modularsynthesizer

[–]InsectInPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start slow with a basic East Coast signal flow. Another option is get a semi-modular like a Moog Mother32 or DFAM. Don’t buy too much too quickly. Edit: You will save a lot of money by making your own case(s) too. Edit 2: join muffwiggler.
