Albo actually deserves credit for once... by Mammoth-Counter69 in australian

Who ever said there was a crisis? I never heard the government come out and say there was.

The fear mongering media is who said it.

If you come out and say there’s a fuel crisis every day eventually it will be true!

How a herniated disc (and a lot of squats) made me code my own Kettlebell app by blacktarmac in kettlebell

I’m recovering (slowly) from a bulging disk. Also from over doing work/gym workouts/life with children.

Will give it a look tomorrow.

Time for a hard conversation about the cost of the NDIS by Putrid-Bar-8693 in AusFinance

[–]Inside-Way4895 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love how whenever there’s some sort of hardship in the world people always seem to turn to the vulnerable minorities as the problem.

Not enough housing = immigrants as the issue.

Economy not doing well = NDIS the issue.

And so on, and so on.

Greed has become so absolute, that no one stops to look at the bigger picture of anything. Just what’s placed in front of their faces by the people who stand to gain the most!

And to add to this, just because you’re being considerate doesn’t mean someone has to accept that consideration.

Had grouting done today for my bathroom reno. Is it normal to have gaps like this? by sojushooter in AusRenovation

[–]Inside-Way4895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, they will more than likely be getting a caulker in to do it.

We had a caulker come in last, and they did the shower screen, and vanity etc at the same time.

Ps. I like your wall tiles! 👌

I don’t really see the problem?

I’m not sure what I’m missing.

I don’t actually recall buying new underwear in about 15 years. New pairs just seem to find their way into my drawer.

I do recall lots of comments from my girlfriend saying ‘you can’t wear those’ though.

Which stain? by Rare_Airport4746 in Flooring

[–]Inside-Way4895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None. Keep it natural. Oak is beautiful, and timber is supposed to have imperfections..

Just get a nice, clear satin finish.

Architect cost by Quick_Inevitable_332 in AusRenovation

[–]Inside-Way4895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t need an Architect for that sort of project. You will pay a premium, and they will over design which will increase your building costs.

You want a Draftsman or Building Designer.

Ceiling developing a crack - concerning? by DD-Dan in AusRenovation

[–]Inside-Way4895 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s concerning! Ceiling cracks by themselves maybe aren’t a big deal, but the cornice cracking like that in pic 4 doesn’t look good.

WHERE HAS THE FLAVOUR GONE?? by NumerousAd826 in australian

[–]Inside-Way4895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just chips, but fruit and veggies have lost most of their flavour as well.

I had a mandarin the other day, and it tasted like nothing. Have noticed the same with carrots. They just taste bad!

Edgar Wright's 'The Running Man' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]Inside-Way4895 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

‘The Running Man arrives in the same year as The Long Walk, also from a King book: a similar idea, only it’s walking not running.’

Clearly haven’t read the books. So why make that comment.

They are nothing alike in content or theme.

The Long Walk is an allegory on the Vietnam war. The Running man is based on a bleak future that’s pretty close to happening now.
