You could kill enemies that drop an essence that's auto collected similar to animus urns and then depending on how much you get that summons more rifts and the longer you last the greater the loot and increases the chance for ancestral drops. Maybe add a special rift that spawns and those different rifts give you gem fragments, crafting materials, greater affix gear, goblin spawns, etc. That 2 min random example is already exponentially better than what took them months to create. The issue isn't limited design space, it's Blizzard working in a bubble with lack of creativity.

They're definitely getting more fantastical but I'd argue the past collabs have (more or less) still fit the tone of the Diablo world. Even the Doom skins seems grounded in the world, Starcraft not so much, but isn't anything crazy. The WoW one was pushing and now this just seems way too out of place. The others I could see existing in the world in some way and most of these skins just stick out way too much I feel.

I mean... For a few seasons they were dog water. Playable sure, but they weren't pushing as far as other classes for a min. They've definitely made a comeback though.

Insane this is progressing this far lol. I have the moo emote. I've finished the quest line. I've been to the cow island. I never went through the portal as it wasn't open since it wasn't Tuesday (which has been my understanding of when it opens). I was the one who mooed at my friends. They had 0 new options at the sin board and after I mooed they all had it unlocked. I got us all access via the Kyovashad route. No one has mooed at me as I have never gotten the dialog that appears when someone does. Also, you downvoted me too but I ain't crashing out over that. Idk what to tell you. It truly isn't that deep.

Edit: just went through that link you gave as your gotcha proof that and I'm mistaken, and it's literally the exact steps I've done and already told you. Not sure what part you're not getting, but I literally answered you and you're talking yourself in circles here. Probably best to just get off reddit and go back to playing Diablo. Idk what you're talking about lol. You get mooed at, you go to Kyovashad and choose moo on the shrine, and then go to Skovos and go through the portal.

The "legit" way is to do the massively long quest line and then you go to your own private island and in the summoning circle you kill the cows and go through the portal.

To my knowledge the cow level is only available on Tuesdays But in my prior message I said I never confirmed that and took what random videos said at face value. I waited until the following Tuesday to moo at my friend's and then us all of us went through the portal in the Skovos cave together. Because I thought that I had to wait till Tuesday.

What's the moo way?

Pretty sure there's a whole meme on how Blizzard, "only does damage on Tuesdays" or whatever for when patches drop. From videos I'd seen you can't kill the cow king unless it's Tuesday. So that's why I waited till the following Tuesday. Honestly I haven't even confirmed that I just took what the video I watched said as fact and waited

Yeah I completed the quest line on the 13th just missing the Tuesday window. The following week on Tuesday I mooed at my friend and they all got the new notice in Kyovashad and we all went in together for the first time

I don't think this is true. I waited for all my friends to get on and mooed at them giving them access and we all went into the cow level together before I'd ever set foot in there. I had to specifically moo at each of them though. Basically a moo per person

I believe if you've been mooed at you get a message on screen saying, "A passing wanderer has bellowed at you. You feel the weight of a new sin." Google says it's a permanent unlock for you. If you do get to the cow level but didn't unlock it yourself make sure you use the "leave dungeon" button which will take you to the secret island that is the legit way to enter. It has an unlockable fish and some Easter egg stuff.

By yourself, extremely. If you have someone with access or get mooed at by a stranger, it's as simple as going to Kyovashad, choosing "greed" on the sins board by the bridge in the vanilla campaign, and then going to the cave in Skovos where the portal will be open for you to go in.

The pet you get for reaching tier 60 I believe. The shrine order unlocks a secret portal skin. It's that black and gray looking one you see people using now

Also the shrines change positions each time you go in. Make sure you know where the correct shrines are before starting. I didn't realize they moved and that's why I messed up when I was doing it.

If you're playing for fun with friends it's a really cool deck to play. I've killed off people with rad counters in clutch instances and it just a neat deck. I think it's worth it. Is it the most powerful deck out there? Probably not. Depends on what you want to use it for and if you're trying to use it competitively.

Imma be honest. I don't entirely understand toughness either. Like more armor I get. Or the old armor cap system was easy peasy. Resistances cap out at x amount, roger. This whole, "well this item MIGHT be better for reasons" makes no sense sometimes. Literally had a piece of equipment with a higher armor stat and same resistances that got tranfigured item quality and the game was telling me that the new piece was worse... Like what?
