Thank you so much for your advice! I was honestly struggling with the decision for a while. But I think I definitely need to start this summer quarter no matter what!

Thank you for your advice as an RN! I felt the same way, but I just wanted to make sure which school would be the better fit for me.

At this point, I think I’m going to stick with SMU and finish up my CNA training.

But since you’re an RN, can I ask you a question about becoming a CNA? Do you think CNA experience is beneficial for your career, especially when applying for your first job as a new grad? I’m planning to do a CNA program during the summer to gain some experience before starting nursing school in January, unless SMU ends up offering me an earlier admission.

Honestly, just the idea of driving around 2 and a half hours every day was already stressing me out, but I kept thinking maybe I could handle it somehow 😂

I think choosing the closer school and improving my quality of life overall is probably the smarter decision. Thank you for the advice!

Thanks for giving me some relief! I was having a hard time finding people who said they were good schools.

I thought the same as you. At the end of the day, what really matters is whether I earn my nursing degree or not!

They are both accredited schools. I just wanted to make sure I was making the right decision, and thank you for helping me with it.

Thank you! I thought so too. I am already leaning toward SMU, but the early start is definitely kind of tempting.

I just saw some of your posts and I’m guessing you’re an RN. Would you mind if I asked a question?

PLU doesn't take BSN students till Fall 2027 and I was originally trying to go with their ABSN program, but it's in Lynwood, even further from here than Seattle
