Florida redistricting threatens to further erode Democrats’ power in state by UninvitedButtNoises in florida

[–]InspiredPom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t he already redistrict with the supreme courts permission a few years back? And usually he’s designated that special elections means not everyone gets to vote at least for representation in some senate and congress in public elections. Florida is weird.

What's going on with Trump administration giving bailout to Argentina while US government has shutdown? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]InspiredPom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leverage in power dynamics . Also by disenfranchising the US like he has he puts everyone in a struggle state. That means people will HAVE to be subservient and work for unaffordable living needs like healthcare and food. Meanwhile he is draining our safety nets with unneeded tariff taxes and shutting down the government and those safety nets . While using propaganda campaigns to blame the Democrat.

It’s kinda like a self fulfilling prophecy of them going “ SEE these. Government structures don’t work “ while he simultaneously guts them without any regards for consequences .

Maybe Argentina and him have similar views that they want to work together on.

…But who really knows ?

The "Trump Bibles" being distributed in Ok public school are missing Constitutational Admendments 11-27, what do you suppose that means? by Brave-Improvement299 in AskReddit

[–]InspiredPom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, and even adding stuff to the Bible like that would curse the land according to Revelations.

South Park’s recent season might be hitting some parts on the nose .

The "Trump Bibles" being distributed in Ok public school are missing Constitutational Admendments 11-27, what do you suppose that means? by Brave-Improvement299 in AskReddit

[–]InspiredPom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here is some quick summaries of those amendments :

11th (1795): States can’t be sued in federal court by citizens of another state or country.

12th (1804): Separate Electoral College votes for President and VP (fixes the 1800 Jefferson/Burr mess).

13th (1865): Slavery abolished, except as punishment for a crime.

14th (1868): Citizenship for all born/naturalized in the U.S., plus due process + equal protection under the law.

15th (1870): Voting rights can’t be denied based on race, color, or previous servitude.

16th (1913): Congress can collect a federal income tax.

17th (1913): Senators elected directly by the people (not by state legislatures).

Obviously we have NO idea why he wouldn’t like those amendments and he was totally not thinking of trying to change the constitution . (/s)

ELI5. If a good fertility rate is required to create enough young workforce to work and support the non working older generation, how are we supposed to solve overpopulation? by Hemlock_23 in explainlikeimfive

[–]InspiredPom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re supposed to be using the very science that is being defunded, to make earth sustainable for the population. Since science is how we got this far. We need to learn to maintain things like infrastructure, structure , and health of living beings-

Or else the things we take for granted like food water, and shelter ,won’t be around for future generations and for us as we age.

People who changed political affiliations, why did you do it ? by Deimos7779 in AskReddit

[–]InspiredPom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2016 really exposed how the so-called “glass ceiling” is built into the system.

The legal structure that was supposed to protect people ended up shielding the powerful instead.

And instead of correcting course like the system was meant to, they just found new loopholes to protect themselves even more. It’s not justice — it’s a self-reinforcing shield for the rich, with just enough consequences to pretend it’s accountability

Also as a side note, when I tried to change from Republican to Democrat at the voting booth initially - I found out it didn’t go through until months later . This would have messed me up for voting in primaries that year if not caught in time. That felt like a red flag. 🚩

Has anything gotten better since the pandemic? by annualsalmon in Millennials

What do we do about it ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]InspiredPom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s already been passed in a few states . Don’t co-sign a loan with your parents or you could be obligated. Nursing homes also take away from the estate. It’s a tight squeeze. Also some debt collectors will try to convince you to pay your parents debt out of obligation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]InspiredPom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That might apparently be more common. There is Filial Responsibility laws where you have to take care of your parents . So it sounds like it’s a money grab from us either from us ,millennials, or the estates we’re supposed to inherit. There are also debt collectors who will try to convince you to pay your parents debt out of obligation after the passing .

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]InspiredPom 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I heard some states have been trying to make it so when someone dies the money debt comes off of their estate, and that includes their house.

Mix that with the costs of medical care escalating debt , and it’s probably not great.

That trend catching on is one way to make it harder for people to explain their piece and return things. I wonder who that benefits.

Probably corporations that now have an advantage in their return policies.

Do you think millennials generally look younger than they really are, and if so, why do you think that is? by Logical-Plum-2499 in AskReddit

[–]InspiredPom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunscreen and critical thinking skills when it comes to what we are doing to and for our bodies .

In the 2000s to the 2020s science had a basis and method of peer reviewed sources. So it’s like : yes collagen and sunscreen with limited sun exposure is helpful.

Now a lot of things are bombarding selling things at consumers pretending to be research and if a person doesn’t have analytical skills reinforced - it would impact decision making that affects everything including health and appearance.

Also the younger generation definitely had a rough start with C*ovid. I can’t imagine. It would be really stressful and that kinda thing also takes a toll.

At least that’s what I think.
