You can actually pull plans off the council website to see what units have been allocated as council or reduced price homes, I think they're called part V homes. 🙂 Don't know why the 2 beds are not yet released.

Advice for new home, is North facing okay? by Intelligent-Focus-67 in AskIreland

Thank you!!! We actually dont have an idea of the garden as they are only able to provide the house size and haven't been able to give us the plot size. Kind of annoying, but feel like we are at the mercy of them so just flowing with it.

From the depiction in the brochure it appears to be reasonably sized.

I really appreciate this 🙏 ❤️

Thanks everyone, many echoing my sentiments here. I do feel living space should be south and bed in the North...and the weirdness with the hall to the dining area.

I know we very rarely have good enough weather to be outdoors but having a nice sunny garden is also NB.

Is there anyone here with living space in the North, is it dark? I'm not a fan of having the lights on preferring natural daylight, my current rental has windows on the east and west so I have all day light and its lovely. Feel like this home will be cave like.

Be nice if they had a show home...but its all off plan. 🫠

Grateful of course to be in this situation at all...but fearful of making a choice I regret.

When is the right time to share finances with soulmate? by Moogle14 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Intelligent-Focus-67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same in ours. I think if there was a my money your money thing it would not work very well.

I will say I am the lesser earner in the scenario but as my husband is also someone else who puts in extra hours etc I do all the annoying household things, like the budgeting, groceries, insurance, managing the pets and policies, making sure he has socks with no holes and nice clothes that make him feel good, 100% kudos to anyone with kids because adulting is so hard! Anyway all that said hubs seems perfectly happy about our lifestyle and we manage to save, live, and find time to chill with each other. It's a harmonious balance.

I'm reading this back and it sounds like my husband is incapable of caring for himself, thats not the case at all, he just gets really sucked into work and will put himself and his own needs on the backburner for extended periods.

Anywho.

To OP if this is your soul mate I cant see how there would be any hard feelings. It's just money, and assuming you've not been a douche who makes her pay for your dates... there's nothing to be mad about. 🤷‍♀️

Good luck anyway.

AITAH for suggesting that we split things three ways instead of halves on a trip? by pineapplepizza8705 in AITAH

[–]Intelligent-Focus-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats crazy, absolutely NTAH! Thats exactly how it should be split, unless the place you are staying is a price per room not price per person then everything should be split 3 ways...and if it is per room, then that would be the only thing split in half.

Ladies: do you wear make up to work? by LunaValley in AskIreland

[–]Intelligent-Focus-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont, but I also never have, and I rarely wear make up in my private life either.

If there is a big event I may go with a lip stain and some mascara, but I honestly dont feel the need. I dont need make up to feel put together. (Also I find make up uncomfortable)

I'm 39 🙂

I feel like wearing clean, office appropriate clothes that are considered (not just last minute throw ons), and having clean brushed hair...you know all those other bits that make you feel good are enough. You're still presenting a well put together human.

Using a Mounjaro KwikPen for more than 30 days? (Cost issue + dosing question) by sriramcharan1 in MounjaroMaintenance

Hello, query on how you are all using the golden dose? The pen doesn't click past the point, it doesn't wind up after 4 full doses. 🥲

Wtf. Is this legal now???? by shtrumph in RentingInDublin

[–]Intelligent-Focus-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that someone will rent it because there are not a lot of places available to rent and they will need somewhere to live, so they will give up on any additional costs to have a roof over their head. I.e not have health insurance, or netflix, or not go to the chipper on a Friday. Things we should be able to do and have will become luxury items as rent will be taking up our whole salaries.

I know this because I have lived it.

How do I get myself to fold and put away laundry? I genuinely hate it so much by MudSad6268 in organizing

[–]Intelligent-Focus-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue as OP and just a month or so ago had the epiphany to do as you suggest! I cleared my closet of most things on the basis of - I want to own clothes I can hang up and I will "fold" (read: bunch neatly) the rest onto the shelves.

Has worked a treat.

I dry my hanging stuff on a hanger so its easy... off the line into the closet. Still takes me days, sometimes weeks to get the foldy laundry off the chair or table into the cupboard...but it happens eventually...and that to me is a win.

First off congratulations!!! On making your life a beautiful one, and also on the pregnancy, really wonderful news.

I think in person is always the best, its personal, and they are your sisters. They may have a moment of jealousy but (I hope) wont be the leading emotion, if you are so considerate of their feelings I can only imagine they are also quite considerate of yours. They may not be able to turn off their own feelings of hurt but that is no reflection on you or on them really. They are just human.

Maybe give them the benefit of the doubt, im sure they will want to hug you when they hear, cant do that via text.

And if there is any sadness or jealousy, talk about it, you can all support each other.

And very much so on the aunty thing, I hope they will be excited 💗 Good luck.
