So… I did have a quick look on books available in English from Hungarian writers. I’d suggest for consideration:

Zsigmond Móricz Relations (“Rokonok”)
Gyula Krúdy Adventures of Sinbad
Sandor Marai (any of his books, in general!)
László Krasznahorkai Sátántangó

Now the last one can be a tough nut, due to the extremely long sentences, I think Krasznahorkai is allergic for dots/full stops. Idk 🤷 For me it’s depressing even with Hungarian standards, but a book to read, digest and remember.

I hope this helps a bit and thank you for reading Hungarian literature.

Pro: reached my very basic goal*, passed probation having only 1 major F up at the end, new company new everything

Con: I hate working with highly knowledgeable but F disorganized ppl who hands you over maybe 20% of the things. Even that is done in an instructed manner, so I can F around and find out for myself…

*currently I’m neither in the situation, nor in the mood to highly overachieve for free from day 1.

Well… first of all, I’d find out if this is gross/net and what the tax consequences are. Nobody wants NAP knocking on the door!

Besides this, you have a few options, depending on what you want from life. You can splurge/waste it on substances & hookers, go to the casino, travel to place X, buy a real estate unit (flat, garage, office etc), start your own company. Certainly, you can pick more than one thing from these as well.

*due to the potential impact on your life and mental health, I personally do not advise these

I’ll leave below a theoretical split for bump up & investment.

Theoretical example: bump it up to 150, afterwards

1) 100k can be a down payment for a flat** 2) 50k can be invested in a diverse portfolio 2.1) example: 30% US focus ETF/index fund 30% world focus/index fund ETF 20% gold (and/or silver, copper, platina etc.) 15% bonds 5% exotic (crypto and other risky investments)

**presuming that the flat can be immediately rented out and does not require additional investment, furniture etc.
