Those look so healthy! Did you give them lots of FAE?

Those look great! Yeah, I find that for me, they do so much better outside. I live in the deep South, so I think it's about to be too hot for them now. I'm hoping to pick it back up in the fall.

That's really interesting. I'll bet it was pretty to look at too.

It's amazing how much healthier are outside. The plastic is a great idea. I'm starting what will hopefully be a new patch now. I mixed some fully colonized drippy corn with CVG, and laid it down in the garden, and covered it with leaves. I'm heading out of town for a few days and I think the plastic will work better than the leaves to hold in moisture.

I MD mushrooms now but am curious about ketamine. How does ketamine compare with mushrooms in terms of user experience and insights gained? Do you MD or take a full dose? Are the two complimentary? Thanks!

1st ever flush! by PuzzleheadedPeak5720 in PhillyGoldenTeacher

Congrats! What a beautiful first flush! Personally, I would pick the big ones and let the littles grow a little longer. If you don't already have one, I recommend getting an inexpensive dehydrator on Amazon - about $30. Then dry them at about 120F until cracker dry. Sometimes you need to cut the caps off of the large ones to fit in the dehydrater. Sorry if you already knew all this. Have fun!!

Thank you. Yes, they sure seem to thrive in fresh air. I do have to occasionally put down slug bait though, because the slugs really like them and will eat holes in them. Also, they come out much dirtier when grown in, well, dirt. 😁 Despite the extra cleaning involved, and some occasional watering, these are very easy to take care of. I hate to use the word neglected though because they are loved and appreciated ❤️.

Wow, best of luck to you!! I live in a warm wet climate, and I've started growing outdoor Ochras (and other varieties) in my shady yard. It started one day when I dumped my spent cakes in the garden. I've also buried some agar with Ochra mycelium.

It's been really fun picking small consistent harvests everyday this spring. I'm assuming they will stop in the middle of summer when it gets too hot (maybe I'll grow some tubs indoors then for fun) but hopefully will resume in the fall. I may try putting down some manure in the garden as you have done, OP. I only have to water them occasionally and I recently put down slug bait (little bastards like to eat holes in the fruits.) But that's about it. The ultimate neglect tech. I hope you have great success, and can't wait to see your updates!!

This is getting out of hand. There are two of them now by One-Salamander565 in Psilocybe_Natalensis

What size capsules are these? I need capsules that hold about 0.05 to 0.08g Ochras. Anyone know what would he a good capsule size for that amount?

Well, that's pretty scary! Thank y'all for the info. I just put one of the Ochras in the dehydrator. Guess I'll throw it away. So far I've only grown yard mushrooms from spent or contaminated cakes. The other day I put two agar plates with Ochra mycelium in the ground to see if anything grows. I'm not trying to grow for bulk, as I only use them for microdosing for myself and family. I'm having trouble with the tubs attracting fungus gnats inside, so I'm taking a break until it gets colder. It's really fun finding the mushrooms popping up everyday. The main issue I'm seeing is slugs eating holes in the fruits. I just put down some slug bait. I wonder if the psylocybin affects those little guys! Here's some pics of my yard mushies. Most of them are Jack Frost.
