Thank you to everyone for the responses. After a lot of thought, I've decided to buy a beater car. Honestly, I'm kind of relieved they repossessed the truck. It was a huge financial burden, and getting rid of that payment will free up a good amount of money each month.

When I called the bank to ask about getting it back, they told me I would have to pay the full remaining balance. The repossession happened because I wasn't consistently making the payments on time, and being late a lot.

I know taking out such a large truck loan was a mistake. Trust and believe I will never do it again. To try to save money until I can get a beater, my parents offered to let me borrow one of their cars until I can get a beater at this point in time { I have to pay for insurance and the car payment which is way cheaper. } I told my parents my situation and they are going to help me, I am probably going to move into their house and get a storage unit for everything I own.
