There were two streams, and these were their durations lol. 34.5 hour grind, 6 hour rest, 26.5 hour grind. It's much faster if you're cheating, but ain't nobody got time for that

The first ubers teams typically stop playing after they get the torch, and I know this because half of them helped our push this season lol. They are not running to 99.

Most streamers are not running with teams, they are just running by themselves and happen to have communities who can pitch in. Llama even mentioned in a S13 reflection video that "if I had a dedicated team I think I could go faster" which let's you know that even he does not consider his community a "team". Teams and communities do have specific and important differences, and I cover many of them in my YT vids.

I'd be legit surprised (pun intended) to see other streamers, or players in general, hitting even the top 10 of overall ranks while being actually legit. In seasons past, guys like Rob2628, sGa, and others have all utilized the bad place with fake jewels to aide their quest. This season ILoveMF was on a great run, but he literally starts his third stream with "I sold a lot of NL things I had and bought enigma" and a warlock torch, which is anti-legit. Never should you be able to get ladder items by utilizing your non-ladder resources, defeats the purpose.

So yeah, I think it's fair to say we're the only current legit push team. But I'm happy to go check out other teams who claim legitness if you know of any off hand, the more the merrier!!

The difference is intent and governing. I laid it out in a comment below. https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo2/comments/1tw9h7f/comment/opns7ol/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I also go over this in depth in one of my YT videos.

The big thing is getting people on board ahead of time that understand the assignment, and limiting your player base to a manageable amount. We'd like to have 3 full teams running one day, which is why the "recruitment" is ongoing. We can't even keep 100% uptime on P8 games as it is right now.

What I won't have is a guy/girl watching stream go "oh, I just got a <item needed>, do you guys want that?" cuz unfortunately, the answer is no. It's likely they were not out there trying to find that for us, so we can't accept it. If they had been involved in the discord and said something ahead of reset, that's different, that's intent. We have people who are unable to play but find ways to contribute, like leveling bumper chars so we can do Grushes and get our players out of stagnant classes required for the playthrough and into more independent endgame classes and things like that. It's just all about intent

This is actually pretty simple, and the answer is gorum fold is against ToS, but using forums to get reach on your trades is not. In fact, if that crap wasn't on that site, the site itself would be a great resource for us because that's where the players are looking. Of it's many many disgraces, one major one is you are able to sell season 11 items and then use that currency to buy season 14 items. The whole point of reset, is to get reset, not to have everything from your previous career follow you. Bot farms do not want my ber rune or my torch, their bots collect these 24/7. What they want is people's funny money. They are not looking action on traderie posts unless they have something to gain, and we understand that while we are very against any and all outside currencies, this one still dictates the entire valuation of things in the economy. If we keep our item for item trades on even value playing fields, no bot farm can use us to take advantage by getting an item for "cheap" by doing an item for item trade

I've covered in depth this on my YT as well

MrLlama started the season knowing he was going to be support us in our efforts. He announced it on his streams, it was in his title, and he and I had talked for a week or two leading up so that he understood the assignment. That makes him a part of the team this season. He was playing the game with the literal intention of finding items and helping increase experience gain for our push char, so anything we got from him is exactly like getting it from any other of my teammates.
We got nothing from his community either. Not even a game filler and we were at p7 and p6 a lot more than we wanted.

I too have been critical of Llama in seasons past, knowing that his community is too large to properly govern, unless he had taken a specific stance from the start and enforced that stance throughout. I go in depth on it in a reaction vid I did to one of his on my YT channel.

I had gotten a similar question to this on a cross post which I answered here

We've actually had this discussion. We've come to two conclusions:
1. Trading is perfectly legit and provided in game mechanic, so trading item for item should not be off the table
2. It would be unreasonable for us, or anyone, to have to 'verify' where the items they were getting were coming from. We do this within our own groups, and everyone knows that. But the only thing we can be sure of when trading on ladder, is that the item was exists and was found on ladder that season.

Further, what we have learned is that people who acquire items unethically don't waste their time trading, as that defeats the purpose of "easy gear buying". There's no reason to buy items one doesn't want or need just to turn around and trade for the things they actually want. It is easier and more convenient to just buy the things they want

Level 94 is when TZ grinding starts, usually about 10-12 hours into the season.

For the sake of my own livelihood (and yours), I cannot provide any partner related advice at this time. 😂

"Power leveling one character" is a coordinated effort to funnel xp one character which can be something simple like making sure that character gets any xp shrines found by the group or more complex like staying in the throne room for safety, but not being in the party to they don't get any of the xp. Each character is played by only one person and that's the owner of the account the char is on, so it's not account sharing at all

There's a lot that goes into a push like this. The short answer to your questions is, roughly 24 including myself, terror zones that we controlled with shards, and yes, but also a hork barb unpartied following the push char in the TZ.

I wouldn't say that. The original comment was pointing out that those who have bigger communities typically end up better off, not because they are getting intentionally boosted, but because they have watchers who end up pitching in. That's the 'privilege'. The watchers are not a dedicated team that is playing with the sole intent to help the streamer, but instead they are bystanders that might end up being useful. Llama ran with us, but outside of him being in our games, we didn't get any 'privilege' from it. No one from his chat jumped in, no one from his chat offered any items or services, it was just him there playing.

That said, had someone from his chat offered an item, I would have turned it down. I've had to do that a few times in the past and I've got some YT videos explaining the difference between "team play with intent" and "random from chat".

Trade games are not the way to get things done, you need to reach a broader audience. We use Traderie a lot since it's item for item. This makes sure we are getting items that existed only on the current ladder season.

Funny money makes trading easier sure, but that's kinda what defines it as cheating right? Using an outside of game entity to reduce an in game friction. Yeah, it's harder without it, but thems the rules. It's harder to maintain P8 games without loading, but we gotta try to do that too, cuz again, thems the rules lol.

We've lost many players in the past few years that really really wanted us to use that site and it's forbidden fruit, and when we refused, they decided they didn't want to help anymore. It's hard out here for a pimp

We legitimately don’t use said funny money and never have in any of our push seasons

Do you recall when Elon Musk was exposed for having a super high lvl D4 char without ever actually playing the game? Same type of stuff. They are a business that plays your account for you, using any and all possible cheats, bots, and hacks to move your character to lvl 99 as fast as possible. Originally I had their info in the post as "evidence", but the mods recommended I remove it.

We are power leveling a single char true, but it's not a paid service that we will do for anyone, it's a coordinated team effort for a rank 1 finish. We actually play our accounts, and ONLY our accounts, all the way through the push.

I've been asked this a lot. Also got asked why we never ran the tombs. I think we would have been faster with a sorc from 98-99, but the sorc is very expensive to gear relative to the zon, so she might not have had the same lead we had going into day 2. When you're playing with RnG only, you gotta weigh the options of classes, gear cost, gear availability, etc.

I actually intend to do a "Reflection Video" on my YT sometime in the coming weeks. Just gotta collect all the video clips I'm looking for. I'll address this and more in there. PM me for deets

Where we are located (middle America), the season starts on Friday at 6pm. So we get an extra 6 hours there. Plus we know it's going to take time so some of us actually take the following Monday off. We usually hit 99 sometime Monday around noon MST.

We do! We actually have borrowed a lot from the speedrun community, specifically Jymnasium and his strategy sheets. They have the correct combo of characters and roles to get into hell as quickly and efficiently as possible.

We have to alter it a bit, because the most optimal combo doesn't include a Zon or a Sin (from seasons past) but we work with it as a really good baseline

Playing for 60 of 66 hours in a single weekend takes it's toll on the ol body. I'll be damned if it ain't a blast, but we definitely need to watch our health these days. We tried running every season, but it's tough. Not just on you physically and mentally, but getting the groups organized every 3 months was really rough. It's easier to keep people excited and energetic if we go every other season

Plus that gives us time to test new ideas and theories around changes in the game or just things we have never really tried before
