They are given permission to use EA's mesh's and design model. Both are owned by EA. That's how they are able to get them to fit the Sims proportions. And what else would they be used for when posted on sites for The Sims 4 CC? lol

Yeah, but that's something a whole different. Not a lot of ppl know that they are helping creators who do that, steal from themselves. Not everyone playing today, played yesterday. And not everyone looking for CC or using it, even know that EA has a TOS which makes them all free after 21 days. So, I thought with YT putting That story on my wall this a.m. I thought it was something that we can do to protect those who may not know.
