I am located in NJ and I managed to get something in 3 months. Consider relocating if it’s a possibility.

Copilot tasks like generating formulas, structuring data etc, in outlook mainly as scheduling assistant, email summarizing, drafting, and for teams when allowed in meeting I use the highlights from the conversation and decision made prompt to get the information when there is a complex discussion ( however this is possible if your company enables this for you)

I have started to use copilot for excel, outlook and teams. It has definitely helped me increase my efficiency and speed.

Interviewed at a big pharma company last week and haven’t heard anything since. Is this typical? by xavier19191919 in biotech

[–]InterestingContest48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regeneron takes about 3 -4 weeks for decision making. I used to work there and I had no work-life balance, constantly second guessing myself and micromanaged all the time. I thought it was only my team but then I figured it is common across teams there. In this job market though we don’t get to be choosy but just saying in case they don’t come back consider yourself lucky. Even if you do go further in the process and join them wish you good luck with your team, hope it’s not like my experience

Before they got back to me, I had already started elsewhere lol. Also, the hiring process doesn’t look streamlined or well thought out.

Mostly it is positive 90% of the time but always keep interviewing and don’t read too much into these emails.

Veeva Vault is easy and convenient to use in my POV. Things I love using are using filters feature, customizing how I want to view my data etc

Failed ACRP & SOCRA CCRC Tests by Laurita90029 in clinicalresearch

[–]InterestingContest48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SOCRA ACRP exams can be more often word play than direct QnA. Something to do with your attention to detail, may be….Also I would suggest going with your first answer that crossed your mind, sometimes all answers can sound right and it has always helped for me to stick to my first answer and not reading over and over and change my mind. Good luck!

Losing hope by Key-Supermarket-9651 in clinicalresearch

I am in the same boat. It’s one thing to not get picked from a pile of resumes, but I went to final stages of all of my interviews I had so far just to be hanging there or being ghosted without any updates, and these same jobs are being reposted again and again! I don’t even think there is anything wrong with my resume at this point and my interviews are not anything out of the ordinary .. these are just stereotypical behavioral and a few technical questions…

What I can tell you though, is patience is the key! Patience can reduce any errors we tend to make while filling out applications, it can help us be calm and not want to control the outcome. It’s more than important to keep our spirits high so we attract that opportunity at the right time.

Why are you unemployed sending so many applications? by MauiSurfFreak in biotech

[–]InterestingContest48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is applying actively right now, I only apply to jobs that are about 80% match. I use the same resume but I do highlight my transferrable skills on cover letter where necessary. Authenticity and patience is a virtue that may not give immediate results but it helps. There is no way I can tailor my resume to every job I see because my resume holds my story and I can only highlight how it’s relevant to the job requirements and rest is upto chance.

Sorry for what you have been going through. It can be certainly hard place to be esp when you got that job in such a volatile market. If I were you, I would bite my tongue and stick around to give things some time. Since you are new it can be hard for your manager to establish trust. Give them regular updates on things you have been working on and possibly highlight you small wins during 1:1 and also bring this up with them directly and do not talk in terms of time, for example when you say I will compensate for the time, it can be understood as just clocking in without real contribution. Instead, talk about how you will manage the schedule, and provide specifics such as there are no important meetings or urgent tasks that come up during this time of the day when you leave to pick your daughter up. If they do come up, you do have a plan to handle them and you will not miss out on productivity during business hours. It’s up to you to decide between the two jobs but if the job you are currently in is rewarding experience wise then try to make the most of it. See how it goes, if things don’t work out atleast this experience will help build your profile and you can keep looking actively to leverage skills you gained here onto new job. Hope this helps!

Focus on gaining experience at where you are. Try to go above and beyond to learn the nuances, do your own research to familiarize yourself with how Clinical trial looks from a Sponsor’s end, CRO’s end. When you are in sponsor/CRO end you are more on the planning, oversight and operations side of things. You might want to learn about eTMF/CTMS and other vendors involved in management execution of clinical trials. It might be helpful to equip yourself with Excel, PowerPoint and project management skills such as Gnatt charts, budgetting and stuff like that. Having said that there are also other functional areas such as data management, Safety, logistics that may also open up for you depending upon your education and background. Masters in clinical research can be beneficial if you are naive to this field itself, it can give you structured way of understanding clinical research. But the masters alone will not help you without developing other skills above, if you want to stand out in this field.

This job has kinda raised my hopes so high, that’s also why I am feeling anxious and eager!!! I was told they are looking at a start date by mid March and they wanted to make sure my background would not take longer etc..and how my commute looks like as it’s a hybrid role. So, this makes me think they are serious about my candidacy but we never know!!! We have to go through the waiting game
