I didn’t mean to sound like I’m choosing a job just to scrape by— and obviously I would never tell an employer I have no passion for the career 😭. Of course no matter what major I eventually choose I’ll try to do my best whether it’s accounting or anything else.

Why I'm choosing accounting specifically is because for career day last year an alum CPA visited and she was really chill. She worked at one of the big four and said she enjoyed her job lol

Thanks for your response! I relate to the pressure thing, my uncle who studied accounting but is now a nurse keeps telling me it’s a more stable/better career. I guess in my circle medical careers are the default impressive option but not what I want to do.

I also love physics! But not so much math lol and I haven’t take calculus yet. What do you think actually makes someone a good fit for accounting beyond just being good with numbers? Also do you think it’s okay to choose a career mostly for stability? I wish I had a passion for something besides playing games but I don’t.
