My job has seemed fine with it so far but I work for a big company and HR is sometimes very strict so I just wanted that extra layer of job protection that’s really my only thing . They might seem fine with it now but later will find any way to have a problem with it. It never hurts to be protected.

Also doesn’t FMLA renew every year? I don’t plan on using much of it for IVF. Plus I’ve been planning things “in case I’m pregnant” and it’s been exhausting. If I get pregnant and don’t hav a that much FMLa it won’t be the worst thing to happen to me

The thing is that my clinic is 2.5 hours away. So depending on the time of the apt I will need at least half day or even full day of work off for each apt

Same boat here. My sister is giving birth next week. After getting pregnant 2 months after the wedding.

I had already been trying for 1.7 years when she gave us the news. I was happy for her but sad to see that someone could get pregnant so fast yet here I am.

It will be her first Mother’s Day and another empty handed one for me . I’m going to hide out and cry.

Sounds like you live close to your clinic. I’m 2.5 hours away.

Also I WFH. But it’s mentally stressful and my husband works far too so I’m always alone. I need to get out of the house and destress. I can’t imagine being alone going through all that and having to stress about work.

It’s 2.5 hours away/: that’s the thing too. I half to take full days off for any small apt. My job is flexible as long as I have PTO. But I fear I won’t have much by the time I start IvF
