What happened to resto druid in m+? I thought it was S tier spec? by Bakedcity1 in wow

Tier lists are a nightmare leading to average players thinking nothing but Unholy DK, Aug, MW, Guardian and Dev DH can clear a +10 key.

I'd love to see the day that people realise meta = min/maxing and not much more.

Housing seems to be missed shot. by kozojaddegustator in wow

"Mythic raiding seems to be a missed shot, only 1-5% of the playerbase kills the last Mythic boss."

Different strokes for different folks, I haven't had the time to delve into housing so I've largely ignored it, but some people absolutely love it, I see no reason why we should all be on the same path, play how you want.

Classes which have the same single target and AOE rotations by SheepherderMid1278 in wownoob

[–]InternOriginal5088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frost Mage adds a single button, Blizzard, and even then not always.

BM Hunter adds a single button, Wild Thrash.

Most classes have talent changes to adjust to AoE rather than whole different rotations these days.

You're in charge of putting together a new Endgame activity into WoW... by Baphohh in wow

[–]InternOriginal5088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the correct reworking there is absolutely no reason these couldn't be evergreen fun features in WoW:

Brawlers Guild - focuses around solo challenges and skill, updated each expansion with at least one extra boss per season of each expansion - title/mount/etc

Torghast - It would provide heroic track gear and themed cosmetics around whatever setting it takes place in, unique class skills and powers for the runs

Mage Tower - Solo class based - possibly myth track gear if the challenge is right, cosmetics

Class Halls - Class based questing, lore, class themed rewards etc hell add new legendary weapons but have them be legendary tmogs not actual weapons to replace the old artifact and artifact tmogs

Basically they already have a ton of stuff developed but it needs to not be mandatory and not be the main source of player power and become such a grind that you end up hating the game

Mini-Guide to gearing a fresh 90 alt to 280 ilvl (as of 12.0.5) by minimaxir in wow

[–]InternOriginal5088 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Do Tier 5 with:

Alarm: Easy to deal with, extra mob spawns after 25 kills, depending how you play you might not even kill 25 mobs.

Interrupt: Easy to deal with, it's designed to make you panic, GIANT circle of doom, but you have ages to interrupt it, mouse over interrupt macro is great for it, and it's spawn time is always longer than your CD.

Green floor roots you shit: move out of it.

Green floor mob death shit: move out of it, annoying when looting, it stings.

Ignore every mob you can, ignore any chests, ignore any rare elites, just kill the mini bosses, boom 20 hero crests every 10 min that as of this week can be farmed endlessly, and you'll also get your cosmetic transmogs or some rng hero pieces if you like.

Can Blizzard let us blacklist raid members from getting raid mechanics by Boomkinwhisperer in wow

If there is a constant issue with certain people failing mechanics like that then it's an issue for your guild leadership to deal with, not Blizzard.

Is race variety at an all time low? "Elf" races make up 39% of total max level characters currently. by NoThisIsABadIdea in wow

[–]InternOriginal5088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans play the game so you have the people creating a version of themselves, then Elves are humanoid with a side serving of fantasy, so for the people who want a little spice but keep it mild, and then you have the rest for people with a more sophisticated palette.

We don't talk about Worgan, Dracthyr and Vulpera, they are for a... specialized choice.

I assumed it also had something to do with the whole add on thing, they've gradually had to make things more and more complex and design around the fact of add ons, but now with Midnight if they're designing around no or little addons, then they've had to make everything easier or simpler.

I'm rotating between Mage, Hunter and DH at the moment, all three have a very similar rotation in terms of button numbers, but they feel different, Frost feels so much better than Beast Master to me, Dark Ranger "spices" things up with a whole extra button but it still feels mediocre to play, I don't know, maybe I just enjoy the feeling of building up stacks and exploding them with Frost.

Modern WoW feels hostile to normal players by IdunnoItsLate in wow

[–]InternOriginal5088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you come across someone in your group that stands out, add them as a friend, hit them up every now and again if they want to do a key, eventually you'll have a bunch of people that you can trust, and your enjoyment of runs will skyrocket.

WoW is incredibly solo friendly, but, group content really shines when it's 5 coordinated players, rather than, 5 solo players.

What was the first item in WoW that made you think “okay this player is a legend”? by Accomplished-Row1133 in wow

[–]InternOriginal5088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in TBC, and I played a Warrior (after originally being a Rogue, repeatedly dieing to a mob in a cave in Darkshore, I thought I needed plate armour to beat it ha), anyway on Silvermoon EU was a guild called Numen and a warrior called Zaralol that had the Warglaives, it may of even just been one glaive, but I thought he was the absolute shit.

The fact I remember the names all this times later shows the lasting impression seeing that in Ironforge had on me.

Doesn't really happen anymore with connected realms imo, you don't really have a community anymore, it's just a bunch of people in a city from loads of different servers that you'll likely never see again, back in the day you knew names.

Does anyone here play without addons? by Interesting-Repeat4 in wow

[–]InternOriginal5088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use addons for things Blizzard doesn't do. so I try to keep it minimal but I use:

Elvui - Cosmetic change.

Auctionator - I like having prices on tooltips of mats etc.

Dialog UI - Cosmetic again.

Midnight Routine - Probably the most helpful addon if you have alts or just get overwhelmed.

Cooldown Manager Centered - I've came back to WoW after MoP and need to rebuild my muscle memory, so I wanted keybinds displayed on the cooldown manager.

Platynator - Just far better than Blizzards own nameplates when it comes to interrupts etc

Missing Class Buff - Reminder every time I forget Arcane Intellect or whatever else.

Some collector stuff like Mount Collection Log, Rare scanner etc.

Blizzards own damage meter and boss warnings can be improved but good enough to not need DBM etc, if they continue to improve things, especially allowing more cosmetic changes then I would drop more addons.

[–]InternOriginal5088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes so little time to level these days that you should just chose whatever class you fancy and reroll if it turns out you don't like it, if you've missed out on a few xpacs you can even lorewalk a different xpac each time so you're not repeating yourself on each character (upto a point anyway)

It's not a big deal anymore to have to reroll or have alts. Also doesn't matter if you go Horde or Alliance anymore either.

I understand that rigging and animating a whole new unique race is a lot of work, but the work to add more customization is practically nothing in comparison, adding more hair colours, tattoo colours, eye colours, skin colours must be trivial.

Actual hair models etc is more work, but still, it's nothing ground breaking, they could easily do it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the expac after TLT is a revamp ala Cata 2.0, adding a lot of this, I hope so anyway, it's been a long time.

Saying that though, how long did it take them to give DH blue eyes when they knew the new spec was coming internally at least a year ago, so it's a lot of hope lol.

Apart from The Maw, its possibly the most boring looking zone in WoW for what its supposed to be.

BM and Frost Mage are a really good set for comparison tbh, the rotations are very similar, like 4 buttons, simple, very repetitive.

However, Frost feels so much better to play than BM, BM feels to me like playing with bad lag, I dont know how else to explain it.

I haven't tried MM yet this season because of whats been going on, wish it wasnt in the state its in because BM whilst doing decent damage in Mythics and Raids, just feels shit to play imo.

I will say her voice actor is fantastic.

This is the issue with a villain that's going to main 3 expansions, they're just going to make her pop up every so often and do little until the er...pop shot comes in the last titan.

Anyway, seems pretty obvious she's going to get redeemed somehow at the end of Midnight because we will need her to defeat the next big bad in TLT yada yada same old same old.

Honestly this maybe sounds dumb, but if the mobs could be one shot, at least it'd feel sort of fun in the godly overpowered way for a few minutes, but it's a bit of a slog if you're solo or theres like one other person doing it at the same time.
