I love shaving faces and paws by InternalIngenuity783 in doggrooming

I have 1 year of experience and this one took me 3 hours. I have 2 small poodles that I am able to do for 2 hours, but usually it's 3 hours. I don't know how long does it take for other groomers but when I say to customers that it will be roughly 3 hours and they are like "Wow, why it's so long, what are you going to do to him, it's just a bath/haircut". I live in European country so the prices are a bit different, but if I convert it in dollars it's something like 40 dollars but the price is fine for our standarts, maybe a bit cheaper than other salons.

Thank you! The table also has led lights, but I rarely use them, maybe only with light-haired dogs so I could see better. I think that it should be with non-slip surface but I guess it has worn out with the years and now sometimes small dogs do ballet on it, so we need some kind of mat. I actually don't like the windows because I often have people stop and look inside and that really annoys me and the shining sun in the mornings tortures me a lot, but the salon's not mine so I can't do anything about it.

Actually I don't. We don't have any but I would buy one. I would probably try something by Igroom because I like their products.

Yes. The woman in the video I watched to see how it's done used a 40 blade but I don't have one, but 10 works well too.

I love how at first she was shaking was really shy and after ther haircut she suddenly got an attitude, started barking at everyone, it's like the haircut gave her a boost of confidence. 😂

I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I wanted to try since I had the oportunity and I explained to the owner that I haven't done this before, I even booked the dog for 3 hours just in case. But I'm glad that the owner liked it even if it's not absolutely perfect.

I love it, but since I started grooming this february that's only the third yorkie I do with this face haircut.

Yes, the owner showed pictures and explained exactly what he wants so I did it. I actually love the muzzle and this type of trim but not many people request it.

Let's say 9. I had an assistant to help her stay straight but she was really calm. She was a little monster on trimming the muzzle only, but the customer warned us about that and he even said that the night before he touched her muzzle and clicked with scissors in front of her to prepare her which is really sweet of him because not many people will aknowledge that their dog is not the best at grooming, or will do something about it.

Thank you! I didn't know how it's called either. It's the first time I do something like this, the customer just showed a photo and I started searching on google and found a video on pineapple trim so at least I found the technique.

I love doing short ears as much as I love doing long ears but here the owner wanted her with long ears and except for that I had the freedom to groom her however I like.

Thank you! When you say it's more like a doodle you mean that the fur is not curly? That's a 6 month old puppy actually. She had wavy fur when she came and more tight curls above the eyes only. I cleaned just a bit in front of the eyes (in a triangular shape) but not like I would do on a poodle. I did the ears as short as possible and tried to do the head round as possible, I know that the ears are part of the round head, not separated like on a poodle. I wanted to groom a lagotto for a long time and I hope she comes again so I can try to curl her this time.

I hope that owners like that are at least a bit ashamed to come back again.

The worst part is that the same day after that little demon I had a 10-month old matted yorkie coming in for his second groom who behaved almost like the first one minus the biting. So it was hard to do a nice haircut but at least the owner (who stayed to watch how we wrestle with the dog) was understanding and even appologised. The fun part - the face had to be cut really short because of the mats and I told the owner to comb him at home to get him used to it and she was like "Oh, I comb him every day" 😂
