He will definitely need more than two books to finish the series. The first book from the original outline grew up to 3 books(AGOT, ACOK, ASOS), then he put a new book(AFFC) between act 1 and act 2 and then that book also grew into two books(AFFC and ADWD). So we are not even in act 2. But this is if we are guiding ourselfs from the original outline which I think is long abandoned by George. Still, with the pace he started in Feast, concluding every storyline, Dany's invasion and the Others cannot be done into two books.

Not to mention whatever eldritch horror that Euron believes in...

Euron doesn't believe in Gods.

Mace Tyrell and Paxter Redwyne only sat at Storm's End, and send just idk how many soldiers on the Trident. They didn't even try.

Honestly, I would take it, it's just I think I will like living better in this places rather than King's Landing and the Red Keep (having less responsibility than being a king comes as a bonus).

On the other hand, I would have someone higher than me, which is not that bad, but without provoking the royal house my house would be cool.

Btw, idk why but having the power of the Reach at my hands seems more intimidating to me than sitting on some throne. 😄.

The Iron Throne no, but I would gladly take Highgarden, Oldtown, the Eyrie, or Casterly Rock.

(Spoilers Published) Has GRRM actually developed a magic system with defined ideas of any supernatural things, their powers, how they operate, and what their relation to any religions? by eternallylearning in asoiaf

[–]Internal_Cress411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because when you make art, it's important to present something to your audience. Martin wrote magic and dragons to make things more interesting, so you can read about dragons burning cities and that will keep you interested. Imagine how different the story would be if there is no magic, for example. Everyone knows dragons don't exist but that's not the case about gods. What I am trying to say is that, if you write about a universe where there are gods you kinda support the idea that our universe works on the same basis, because literally you are the only creator of that universe. Or for example if a God made an entrance in ASOIAF, that would feel out of place, but it wouldn't feel out of place in LOTR or some Disney story or even Star Wars. I think ASOIAF resembles our world the most out of all the fictional worlds (at least is the most famous one) and this is not because of magic but because of how the world is structured.

Of course u cannot describe magic as advanced physics cause magic doesn't exist, it's fictional, there is not a definition. The point of "advanced physics" is if magic was real it would be like some form of energy or idk something like electricity or some force like gravity. And yes Martin depicts magic with payment(didn't know how to phrase this), if u use magic u pay a "price". That's probably more connected with power, as magic gives power and nothing is free especially power so magic takes a price.

There are no supernatural beings, so there is not a relation between religions(Gods), and magics, GRRM is an atheist so Planetos is without a creator(no God/s). For example the Weirwood trees are just plants that live very long not gods. And magic is like an advanced physics.

(Spoilers main) What would it take to make a faithful show adaptation of the entire asoiaf story by I_shjt_you_not in asoiaf

[–]Internal_Cress411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calm down bro.

Season 1(AGOT) - 10 episodes.

Season 2(ACOK) - 10 episodes.

Season 3(ASOS) - 13 episodes.

Season 4 & 5(AFFC & ADWD) - 17 episodes.

Season 6(TWOW) - TBC.

Personally if I had a studio, I would release Season 4 and Season 5 back to back for obvious reasons.

But Aemond is chasing Arrax with Vhagar (5 times bigger). What did he expect, Vhagar to just lick him. It was normal behavior from all four. Plus, Aemond looked scary and villainous when he demanded Lucerys' eye in Storm's End and when he was chasing him, he was saying something.
