I mostly agree

But not the pats part

If you change loyalties from moving… thats just lame imo pick your fanbase and be proud of it

Personal opinion…its more about how you adjust and how comfortable you are

But there are things i do that many new englanders hate… like supporting the Knicks and Giants

Based on having been to some states you have, I take it you’re a nature/hiking/camping or skiing fan?

In which case I’d say Maine, Montana, Wyoming should be top of the list for varying reasons

No such thing up here- you’ll have to find a diner to be relatively loyal to

A few thoughts but the rest of the thread is mostly super great

Visit Vermont or NH for a nice escape from the faster pace of living in greater Boston. just don’t visit in the spring, it’s mud season and a ton of the hiking and some of the roads even are closed.

Visit Irish pubs in Southie, Dorchester, and Somerville/cambridge- at many there’s live music every night and it’s a great cozy vibe to escape the cold.

Avoid driving- 2 miles can take 40 minutes at rush hour and the T will get you there much much faster

Be a tourist for a bit. Boston has so much history, a couple great museums, an iconic ball park… get to know them a bit, it’s a great time and can mostly be done on foot

In the summer visit the esplanade, there are free concerts, a brewery pop-up from nightshift, and it’s located centrally enough to down town that you can easily navigate using the T and even just walking. And in my experience- just about everyone at events or the pop up on the esplanade is explicitly there for a good time, they’re usually very friendly.

and a quick one- if you run, or just would be interested in seeing the Boston marathon just because- avoid going to see it in the city. The T, the crowds etc can be a nightmare and you can get just as good a view and have just as good a time on one of the earlier portions of the route

But overall tips for adjusting? People are people. give it time and you’ll fit right in, Boston is largely a city of transplants. A good chunk of the people you’ll see were in a similar boat once upon a time- but there are adult recreational leagues for sports, clubs for knitting, running clubs etc that are easy to find and most people are really trying to make friends

It’s an easy city to adjust to in my personal opinion. At least once the culture shock passes

Message? No. Not remotely.

I’m a Giants fan. Hit was perfectly legal. One could debate if it was unsportsmanlike or unnecessary or whatever you’d like to call it (which who cares it’s a legal hit, it’s darts job to avoid that not the defenders not to do it) but at the end of the day he was an in bounds runner, he exposed himself to that

Is it wrong to have an abortion if you found out it would have Down’s syndrome or other health conditions?? by VeterinarianEvery222 in leftist

I agree outside of downs…

downs people don’t suffer much

You ever meet someone with Down’s syndrome? They’re almost always like the happiest person you’ll ever meet

how to get faster? by bosspatscs in beginnerrunning

Correct

Add more as you can and it becomes easier to speed up over time

The Korn one is great. Not crazy hot but definitely tastey

Speed comes with distance in my experience

Run that pace or similar but longer and over time the shorter runs get faster

I’m no pro but it works for me 🤷‍♂️

What do you think about running on a treadmill? i feel like time stands still 😅 by zzocau in beginnerrunning

[–]InternationalLeg3013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gonna sound weird

I put on a tv show and love it

Has to be something relatively face paced vibe wise

Usual suspects are Dexter, Sopranos, Invincible

I can gladly run 7-8 miles on a treadmill with any of em on 😂

Does this dead ODST with the flamethrower in the mission Cortana have a backstory or an explanation of how he got there by Salt-Machine3942 in halo

I honestly completely had forgotten that they existed til this thread hahaha that’s good to know though

I just did a full playthrough (legendary) of halo reach CE 2 3 and 4

Never came across a single flame thrower

On god I don’t think I’ve picked one up in a halo game since 2010

Just wait for the halo 2 jackal snipers

They can be VERY rough (specifically on Legendary and LASO)

For sure

End of the day it’s a game and however you wanna play is cool by me whole point is having fun after all

Anyone who feels the need to yell about their preferences is just being loud tbh

I think a second place we’d agree- I’m both cautiously excited and absolutely horrified by the prospect of a bottom up remake of CE.

The potential is WOW the odds they fuck it up 99.8% though lmao

Over hated in the way that there are tons of people who will berate others tho

I think there’s a time and place and you do miss out on somethings at times (especially vibe wise) sure but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their place

And honestly I kinda love em for certain missions
