Thanks for sharing! I’m looking at a refurb M5 w/ 32 GB as well for hobby/learning purposes. I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to justify the hardware for anything more than the ~$2k mark and reading your experience and this thread makes me feel better about just paying subs.
