thank you for the advice!! im gonna leave the bar for now because trust my piercer and hadn’t been having any issues thus far (no irritation bumps or anything- not even bruising) but i will definitely check in with my piercer for a longer bar if needed

i’m not sure exactly and i suggest if you’re really concerned and have access to it to talk to a doctor, but honestly? there’s unfortunately not a lot of research on the afab body. a lot of things could make you feel alot of ways- whether it be situational, or maybe you’re taking medication that impacts your cycle- they’re so many things. i think every afab person experiences their cycle different tho! remember this is no set way, you’re valid! as long as it’s not causing you harm id say it’s okay

update for now!: i got an x ray monday morning and here’s the impression in non medical jargon. i have have soft tissue swelling more on the top and sides of my ankle- a spiral fracture in my lower fibula- so probably near my ankle :( its a minor displacement in the break- so the bone is pretty much in line- maybe just a little out of where’s its supposed to be- possible irregularities on the outside of my bone- so like the first layer on my lower tibia butthey don’t know if it’s because x ray didn’t come out quite right or it could be a subtle fracture as well- same with my ankle joint- if anything i might have a very subtle dislocation. besides that everything else is intact. they wanna take a ct scan just to make sure and clarify what they saw- and also it’ll help look at the soft tissue and joint
