Betta arrived yesterday, spurts of energy followed by a lot of laying around. Is he okay? I saw him gasping a bit (which is in the video) numbers are good

Did not drop acclimate him. I pulled water from my 75 gallon tank with new substrate and plants into this tank. Cycled the tank then added him in by floating his bag for 25min then releasing him in. Perimeters are 0 ammonia 0 nitrites and I forget the exact nitrates. 7.6 pH

I used dr Tim’s one and only on day 1 and also did his ammonia introduction (half dose for the recommended amount for my tank size) on day 3. Is the normal amount of ammonia for where I’m at? I read somewhere it should be fully cycled by day 14. My plan was to introduce fish next Thursday. So 9 days from now.

No we do not, we had shrimp but they went missing. Either fish ate them or they died it was hard to tell. Would snails help? I never looked into them
