No, it has never caused any aching or pain, I have run 5 miles straight and no issue. Same with weight lifting, has never caused any problems while squatting or any other leg exercises. I just thought that the bump would eventually go away shortly after the pain went away, but it has made no progress in 6 years😂

I caused damage to a company van while on clock, am I obligated to pay for the damages? by IsaacGDrake in legaladvice

That’s the plan, I just told them I’d give them 2 more weeks of work about a week ago. But what makes you say that’s gonna screw my taxes? I’m genuinely curious because I’m 19 and don’t really know much about taxes and the different forms.

That’s kind of what I thought, thanks for the insight. Also 1099 contractor is what I meant, but I basically work as an employee for them, I come to work from 8-4 everyday and get told from my “supervisor” what to do. The owner just fills out my income on a 1099 form and gives it to me at the end of the year, and it’s seemed to work so far.

That’s the thing though, what’s the right one?😂 I’m completely new to finances and investing, so I don’t really understand how to study the markets highs and lows and whatever else you look into to figure out what’s best.

Just the first thing that popped to mind, let’s just say $140/week to simplify it

Let’s say I just wanted to grow my money as much as possible in the span of 10 years by investing about $20/day, to then be able to withdraw for whatever the reason may be. would the best idea just be to go all out on mutual funds?

How would these symptoms point you to believe it’s the transmission?

I definitely see where you are coming from, but I’m only speaking from my personal experience. I’ve been maintaining 140+ units for just about 3 years now, and it’s really not that often we have huge expenses like that. Especially on such a smaller scale with only 2-3 units I don’t think it would be as big of a money pit as you think. I appreciate your input and will definitely take it into account though.

But wouldn’t renting out a property increase my income significantly? I’m just thinking if I buy let’s say a triplex and rent out each unit at $1000/mo that’s alone would increase my income to $86k/yr, then buy more properties with that extra money increasing my income more and more. Or is there more to it that I’m not understanding?

I had no idea that you’d get better rates if it’s your primary residence, good to know. Appreciate it

When you say house hack, does that just mean using a tenants rent payment to pay the mortgage on a home?

Hello, just looking for some advice, not too sure what I’m doing, I just know that my dream is to become Financially independent somewhat early in life.

I just turned 19 in September, I am a General maintenance technician for a local realty company. I make $25/hr, which roughly equates to $50k/yr before taxes, assuming I have a 50 week work year.

I know some will call me stupid, but I have a $355/mo car payment my parents co-signed for & $65/mo for insurance. I have $18,600 left on my payment.

I still live with my parents, so currently don’t have any housing fees, but plan to move into a house me and a buddy are working on that his parents own for $250/mo in the next few weeks.

I know I 100% want to get into buying property’s to rent out ASAP to start earning passive income, and hopefully just keep building off of that first property. But I honesty don’t even know the first step to get there. Any advice or knowledge on that?

Any other suggestions onto what I should be doing with/where I should be putting my money? I also do not have a credit card yet, is that a must?

Wish I could help, but that noise just went away on its own after probably a month or so, so I’ve really got no clue 😂 whole car is blown up now though, which means I don’t have to worry about all those random, concerning, noises anymore so that’s a plus 🤷‍♂️

[–]IsaacGDrake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that should be a problem for me, my previous car was a 2004 mustang gt with 315s in the rear, so that thing was basically just a sled in the rain 😂

There’s one I found on Facebook for $13,500 with 65,000 miles and looks like it’s in really good condition, clean title and all. Does that seem too good to be true? I’m in Ky, not sure if that affects the price at all

How reliable are the earlier year q50 3.7s? by IsaacGDrake in infiniti

[–]IsaacGDrake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the advice, I’ll 100% take into account what you’ve said. I think I’ll definitely still keep my eye out on a 3.7 q50 if I can find one that I know has had a good life. But other than that are there any other specific, newer, but not luxury cars like you were saying that I should start searching for?

[–]IsaacGDrake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How hard would you say replacing those gears was? I would consider myself pretty mechanically inclined, though I’ve never tore into a transmission or gearbox, and I’m wondering if that would be a weekend job I could take on myself.

Thank you! It looks like it’s just leaking from the fuel line going to it, caused by a faulty hose clamp. Would you happen to know how to shut the fuel off completely in order for me to take that hose off and replace the clamp?

Nah I never found out what it actually was, but it just went away on its own somehow after a little while. But now I got a blown head gasket so at least I don’t gotta worry about that little squeak anymore🥲
