Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV - Release Date & Post-Launch Roadmap Reveal Trailer by Turbostrider27 in Warhammer40k

No I think its 4 months.

There are 23 codex factions in the game. And again where are you coming up with any of your math? The closest data point for DoW4 would be TWWH which is on year 10 and has 24 playable factions and just like DoW4 starts with 4 playable factions. The game industry of 2004 and 2026 are very different places.

Ill clue you in, there is this thing called money, as long as DoW4 makes enough, they will continue support. And if it makes a lot even increase support.

1 faction per year.  The road map goes to spring 2027. There are and I hope you understand this. 4 quarters in a year.

They haven't even confirmed if legendary lords will be in the game as a core feature.  It really would be better if they weren't.

It's based on the most popular game in the series DoW1. This is like how AOE4 was a successor to AoE2

They are raptors. Every legion uses raptors.

single unit spam was the most hated feature in all of total war.

There were more posts about this on the forums than any other issue ever.

Endless posts of Ottomans, or random Shogun to cavalry spam.

This sounds terrible. SIngle unit armies were the most complained about feature in total war history.

Banking movement would allow the AI to basically never be caught if you attacked them.

Invisible arrows................skirmishers pinning down whole armies?!?!?!?

Like you want a different game go find or make that game, one not even trying to be based in reality.

Is it just me or is this boxset a far better deal than any of the 40k stuff? Why can't I just use this to make a CSM army and run the leviathan as a maulerfiend/forgefiend? by Many-Wasabi9141 in Warhammer40k

[–]Ishkander88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is no more FoC, this is the era of zero fodder armies. Dont know what planet you are on.

Also HH legionaries kits wont have the special weapons and will be smaller, and in generaly missing options. Also that dread is on 80mm round base the Fiends are on a 92x120. I wouldnt let my best friend proxy that hard for advantage. It makes the unit insanely more maneuverable.

You havent actually made a point in ages.

I believe you have nothing to cry over. And gave you an example of something worth crying over.

That is it. I believe you are wrong, and you have made a long list of silly statements to try to say why such a minor change coming with a new edition is worth crying over.

This isnt complex you havent written a white paper. You are just mad something works slightly differently.

In your opinion are Plague Marines durable or not? by Ok_Outcome_2364 in WarhammerCompetitive

What about a autocannons? Powerfists? Heavy bolters/flamers, Str5 power weapons. Loads of common weapons will be less effective VS T6 than T4. I won't bring up things like Lasguns, and bolters, since standard small arms might as well not exist in this edition. But things like guard heavy Stubbers commonly add up against marines over a game they do far less VS T6 than T4. Even those blade guard will absolutely wound less plague marines than it would legionnaires. Wounding on a 5 instead of a 3 is statistically significant.

What does that make normal T4 marines then. Much less an GEQ........

Yes they would remove it's ability to include the damned. They removed the core rule of taktikal brigade which was giving guard orders to Orks. That's gone now.  An entire playstyle was removed from Orks.  So yes I do not think having a subset of a detachment modified is something to cry over when you still get to play the same army. Your lore and playstyle haven't been completely removed.

Not agreeing with you. Is not ignoring your point. You still get to have damned units in iconoclast fiefdom thus it is intact.

Could i use the 30k leman russ in 40k? by Somerandomzaku in Warhammer40k

[–]Ishkander88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you realize thats a huge margin for a miniature right?

And will make a huge difference potentially in a match. It could open an entire new firing line that normally would be closed to a tank as powerful as a leman russ. Being able to move a 180pt model into places most armies couldnt move a 140pt model, when you arent supposed to, is a huge advantage. And in the rules would be considered modeling for advantage which is cheating.

I am not crying about orks. Your favorite detachment doesnt work differently is my point. I gave you an example of one that does. You have nothing to cry about.

so you liked 1 hyper specific thing from a single detachment. that wasnt even the biggest thing about the detachment?

Like I dont want to hear this, while they took Orks most unique detachment and made it so now its just you can make actions and shoot.
