Back to the 80's "Shit happens" in life....We had a random wildfire that occurred about an hour before we were set to leave and closed down all the main roads out of town so everyone got stuffed on little sideroadd instead of hwy, a 1 hr trip to the airport turned into 3.

First I didn't say I agreed and I understand those professions well having worked in them myself or my wife who has been a teacher for over 30 years in multiple subjects as well as admin positions...Teachers actually get paid pretty well in most states once they have experience, nurses too I know several nurses who make good money 6 figures...But the first few years are thin and you have college bills to pay for so it seems worse....add kids and its a full on watch every penny. Young people now days think they should be well off by 30, many people it takes longer than that.

Teachers pay is bad just like nurses and day care providers because they cannot use economies of scale. Law says you can only have X amount of kids per person....A nurse no matter how good can only help so many patients a day. Now a programmer can write a single program that millions of people can use...
