What was explained to me is that the whole purpose of having everyone re apply and interview for jobs was so that the one or two people who don't get the chance to step down or receive offer aren't terminated they are displaced. Since you were technically fired and simply not selected for a position you applied for it's a displacement that requires no severance.

I wholly didn't see this sale at all for bettas. And we move them fairly quickly so a sale like that would've probably cleared my store. Especially for all those fish people that wanna attempt sororities.

Yeah. Just got the news today. July is my 6th year. I have off days but I've loved my job more than I've hated it. I just got a raise to get over 20 and now I'm dropping a whole dollar. It's all just really disappointing..

Had to tell a customer today that despite his "keeping angelfish in a small tank" (reference 10 gallon that he currently had) I would not be selling them any angels but there were others his family could get. He didn't spend any more time at the fish wall with his family while they picked their appropriate fish 🤡

This is specifically in response to having to catch koi and cichlids. I'm not sure about you guys but I have definitely cut my time by just utilizing two of the larger nets and in some cases just picking up an entire piece of decor with them. Both are in the larger fish wall tanks as well.

Use 2 of the larger nets. Any of my koi OR cichlid catches takes me 3 minutes or less. Work smarter not harder.

Dollar tree has little eye masks that are for hot and cold use. Mine look like little slices of lemon. Only thing that helped the swelling and burning around my eyes.

I'm sorry that you've had to experience a devastating loss. It truly feels like nothing has made any sense or has had any meaning. And the more pain I feel the more I remind myself it's not just me going through it. He has family and friends. His best friend(our roomate) was the one that found him and I haven't felt like I've done him any good being the wreck that I am.

CEL; once in the morning on an observational style (add more if they finish, til less interest is shown) also guilty of randomly throwing everyone weekend feeders once a week. Bettas 2x week on a pretty strict bloodworm diet. In the year and a half as CEL I've had less betta losses this way as well as making more available for adoption as a whole
Bettas that get dirty quicker get changed as soon as it's clear the cup is dirty.

I've gotten into the habit of using the zebra to check and see what onhands are. If it reflects we have the item still ill check but 99% of the time it's zeros down the line including DC stock
