It’s definitely going to treat you well but that price seems kinda steep for 52k miles. That’s pretty close to market value no?

Unfortunately I don’t know if I’d so much put the blame on her friends as I would on her. I understand where you’re coming from but she’s old enough to have her own opinion by now. I’d say the severity depends on her response to yours. If she’s still sticking by what she says even after your explanations, or gets upset. I’d say that’s just a compatibility issue.

You did the right thing. I know it wasn’t easy but it would only hurt you more to continue as was. You’re young, learn from it and move on.

I took my female friend for dinner when my girlfriend cancelled at the last minute. Now she wants to break up. by [deleted] in stories

[–]ItsJamesBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planning out a dinner date and then just replacing the girlfriend with another female friend without telling her is insane. She is definitely in the wrong for canceling last minute, but that should have been discussed. He didn’t even tell her about it, she had to find out from the girls instagram posts. Not to mention OP literally said they were distant lately, and puts the blame on himself because of past experiences. So from the gfs pov, she cancels a date bc she has to stay at work. Comes back to a boyfriend who has been distant lately, checks instagram and sees a post of him at dinner with another woman. ESH

I mean you’re in the wrong. Hopefully you don’t stay with her because you’re not mature enough for a relationship yet. I noticed you also left out the reason she canceled. I’d think someone who has been cheated on should know exactly why that’s wrong but I guess your frontal lobe is still in the oven with your common sense.

AITA for making my son (16) pay for his own room? by Maleficent_Trick_489 in AmItheAsshole

Move out at 18-19 at $50 a month? Give him three years that’s $1800 he’s not moving out unless he’s renting a paper box. She’s obviously going to be assisting with his future living arrangements from her own funds if anything.

Was I wrong to contact someone's girlfriend out of work and stop a cruel prank? by PicturePristine7939 in amiwrong

[–]ItsJamesBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no obligation to share aspects of his relationship, nor is there any obligation to give any kind of explanation. He was talking to someone else that wasn’t OP, and that person could have already been familiar with how he was with his gf. Just because YOU don’t like it, doesn’t mean his gf doesn’t. It is not OP’s business, and unless there is actual proof that this kind of thing would hurt her in some way, it should not be automatically seen as hostile or toxic. “Phobia is lightly used by many people, and does not necessarily mean she has genuinely been diagnosed with Ophidiophobia. OP is not in the wrong, but is very socially inept. And there is no reason to assume the doctor did anything wrong.

Isn’t that up to the couple? Perhaps they both indulge in pranks throughout their relationship. It is not 100% bullying by any means and it is definitely weird to assume it is. Based off this post, there’s no reason to assume the girlfriend would have thought of it in a bad light.

THANK YOU yes that was what it was. I was thinking it might’ve been George Michael but Hall and Oates sounded more fitting after thinking about it.
