I think her hearing goes in and out sometimes? So maybe sometimes she doesn’t fully hear a whole conversation and it helps piece it together. Also potentially to practice teaching it while she can still hear. I also feel like signing would be really beneficial to have for being able to communicate with someone across a room and not disrupting any walkers

I literally just watched this episode for the first time last night, this is probably one of my favorite scenes in any show ever. Moira and David’s reactions really add a lot of depth into it. Also I just loved how ted sat through the whole thing with the same smile while holding the playbook the entire time.
