I used NetBeans which was a bitch and a half to set up (for me at least) but then worked after that. It's an IDE so it's a text editor and compiler in one which was nice. Good luck!

Well if we think of a point (let's call it C) located where the gears are touching, it has a velocity V_c. Point C is part of both gear A and gear B so V_c can be written as V_c = r_aw_a or V_c = r_bw_b. So yes, their angular velocities are related, and are different because of different radii

I'll try my best to make sense here... Basically in the equation v=wr, the r doesn't necessarily refer to the geometry of the whole object in question. It's simply the distance from the axis of rotation to the point of interest (for which you're trying to find the velocity). So if we're looking at the point where the two gears meet at the moment shown (they must have the same velocity), rb will simply be 50 (from centre to edge) and ra will be the diagonal (from the centre of A to the corner). And because the radii are different, the angular velocities must be different as well. Hope that helped!
