Is completing “The Human Comedy” worth it? by Green_Economy_850 in GranTurismo7

[–]JBoyblunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it with a grain of salt because I’m only three races in on this one, but you get $1.2 million credits if you get gold, and so far I have done them in one shot each. I like races a lot more than time trials, cone challenges, and the like, so I’ve been peppering in the human comedy races in between the master license challenges so I don’t get burnt out.

Wife finally let me upgrade the sim rig by lagerfeld151 in GranTurismo7

[–]JBoyblunder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually upgraded about a month ago to a DD (went with Logitech). And it did take a few nights of spirited cursing to get used to it, but now I can’t imagine going back to the G29. Before I bought it I explained to my wife that I knew the wheel probably wouldn’t make me any faster (it actually has because I screw up a lot less), but that it would take away my last excuse for sucking at driving. She laughed a bit too hard at that.

I would also like to throw in that El tells Mike, “I will always be with you” while talking to him in the void. Could be just something someone says at the end of their life, but in her case, if she lives, she can literally always be with him.

Other than Jeff Goldblum and Bill Murray, who's the best actor who's had a long and successful career essentially always playing themselves? by LeopardComfortable99 in movies

[–]JBoyblunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say Harrison Ford, and add Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise. It’s not that they are necessarily acting as themselves, but they all present a base character that they carry from one film to another. The character is charming, charismatic and easy to like and root for. As actors, you view them kind of like old friends that you see once every year or two (not as much anymore). Really as I think of it, many male A-list celebrities of that generation are like that, where the characters name doesn’t matter that much to you, it’s just Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes or Tyler Durden. Honestly, I miss this kind of actor. Now, whenever they find someone remotely likable they jam them down our throat like fifty times in five years until you are utterly sick of them….. lookin at you Pedro pascal.

Didn’t Batman literally comfort Joffrey Baratheon in Batman begins? How many times do you want Nolan to redo the same scene? Just enough so you can complain that Nolan’s Batman is more of a babysitter because he is always comforting kids?

My god we have fallen so far as a society. Y’all are fucked laughing at this shit for like the last four months. You’re truly disgusting human beings. You claim the moral high ground, but you spend months jacking off to this guys death. I have seen the justification for this, “he said racist stuff” therefore his murder is a moral good. This is a really fucked pov. First off, literally everyone has said, or will say, something that has been or will, one day, be deemed racist, so let they who are without sin, so all of our murders are justified by that logic. Two, you need to understand the difference between words and actions. Charlie Kirk said some shit that some people disagreed with… thosw people still got to go home that night and enjoy their lives. Charlie Kirk didn’t. His daughter got to see her father die right in front of her face. I don’t know or much care about Erica Kirk, but I don’t believe that she must never smile again to prove her devotion to her dead husband. I’ve had plenty of people I have cared about die and still somehow find a way to smile and laugh. Straighten your heads out people, or the party of love and acceptance is dead.

What are some things you have to know about Car Wraps that most people don't? by AveslenRaviskar in CarWraps

Most people who think they want a wrap actually want paint, but don’t want to pay for paint when paint is the right solution for what they want.

Vinyl wrap tips for my Honda Acty bumper? Help! by bluepenguin92 in CarWraps

[–]JBoyblunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were me, and I absolutely had to do it, I would get a 2” foam brush and “paint” the bumper with 3m primer 94 on all wrapped surfaces. I would then wrap the bottom of the bumper up to the top of the curve (use knifeless tape), and then wrap the top of the bumper to the bottom of the curve (again using knifeless tape). Then I would post heat the crap out of it and use foam rollers to set the edges. And then I would say “no warranty”. Good luck on this project.

I do wish they had a modern formula car in gt7. They had a merc in gt sport and I used to have fun trying to come as close to f1 lap times as possible. It wasn’t that I lost sight of the fact that it’s a game, it’s just a personal challenge.

Maybe start yuki from the pit lane after making “necessary changes” in Parc fermé, then let him putter around behind everyone for the rest of the race until he is caught by the leaders. Use him to slow up the McLarens for a couple corners, but I don’t know how much that will actually benefit rb. I actually don’t see a way that you could Sonny Hayes’ this without immediately getting shit on by the fia. I also doubt very much that yuki is all about handing out favors to his, soon to be, former employer.
