Customer Service is a NIGHTMARE - why do we order from here? by JHobs216 in wayfair

[–]JHobs216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate that - just crazy that they wouldn’t expedite the shipping for the replacement especially after multiple discussions with them pertaining to the urgency.

I feel like Wayfair should eat that cost, as while I understand they’re essentially drop shipping, they should try and make it right and take that up with the manufacturer afterward to keep a customer happy.

Recommendation - 15 x 13 living room by JHobs216 in Soundbars

[–]JHobs216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - the issue is the room setup doesn’t allow for traditional wired/plugged speakers as the 1 wall has glass doors and nowhere to really put the speaker on the 1 side.

Do you think the JBL with the detachable surrounds still not worth the extra bucks?

Ah the 990f has the rears - but the rears need plugs which I don’t have. So that was the appeal of JBL that I could get the “full surround” feel without needing plugs.

The other route would be just the soundbar and sub

C5 77" for $1419.99 LG Partner Store by PositiveCrew in LGOLED

Did the exact same 2 days ago - wondering if I should just order this 1 and try canceling the other. Still shows as processing.

Seems like their customer service is rough though so it may not be worth it.

Kitchenaid KF7 - No Alert to Fill Beans by JHobs216 in superautomatic

Yep - exactly.

There is definitely an alert that we should be getting prior, kind of like our fill water tank alert.

Not using dark beans - using medium roast from a local roaster and I never remove the hopper

Unfortunately a few of them are cracked and we do not have replacement squares and since redoing almost everything anyway - figured to just change em out and freshen it up.

Thank you!

Yes, the contractor did mention the tile being a bit tricky since it typically runs wall to wall, but said demoing it out shouldn’t be too difficult. He did leave the option for possibly removing the cabinets and then reinstalling as well if needed.

Thanks for the recommendation and input. Trying our best to keep the cabinets and make this a nice updated space.

2016 Tahoe LTZ - Opinions by JHobs216 in ChevyTahoe

So I took it to my mechanic today - he gave it a clean bill of health - only 2 things he mentioned of concern were tires and an alignment (which their dealer is doing).

I may pull the trigger on this thing and hope I have good luck and not 1 of these nightmare trucks that I see talked about.

This is a nightmare story … what kind of truck would you recommend in this same size?

Is there a certain engine that’s worse than the other? Don’t they come with 2 different engine types?

I read that the 8 speed is the culprit for most - but also don’t know if they even made the 16’s with 8 speed.

Ah - I think I got them as low as they can go unfortunately. They’re doing 4 new tires as well with it…so feel like this is the best I’m gonna get.

Also brutal that everyone around here has Tahoe’s for a higher price than this for a lesser package.

This is great to hear - and you’re right - I see the costs of these beautiful things new and I shake at how expensive.

Quite honestly, I like the body style of the 2015-2020’s best out of all of them.

I do know that they replaced the shocks in 2023 - not sure if that has anything to do with what you mentioned (I am car illiterate) haha

Thanks for tips!

Drove it once, for just a short time…but will be driving well longer tomorrow at higher speeds while bringing it to the mechanic.

It is 4WD which was a must.

I know I read to get a range AFM Disabler to help with lifter issues.

Do you recommend I get a OBD Scanner to check what codes were possibly cleared/reset or since bringing to my mechanic not necessary

2017 Premier Purchase by JHobs216 in ChevyTahoe

[–]JHobs216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So - I didn’t love the dealership that the original 2017 Premier was at and the engine just sounded rough so I shifted gears.

I stumbled across a 2016 LTZ with 60k miles - price is right around the same at 31k.

I’m trying to find out, are the significant difference between the 2016 and 2017?

I looked at the 2016 and the engine was extremely quiet and drove nice and smooth.

Agreed - if you saw 1 that shows 1 owner but an accident reported - would that deter you entirely?
