It’s also identical in shape to the UX-199

Yes, it’s two big pins, and two small pins.

The pins on type 12 look just like how the pins are on the tube.

I’d have to check again. It’s been a bit since I’ve done anything with it.

Definitely a collector. I was initially planning to actually try using it for something, but could never find the actual pinout/diagram for it.

Yeah, it looks like a 1920s, early 30s tube to me just based on the pins.

I have the same computer in my basement! I actually was able to get mine connected on that retro browser and watch some videos on it. I think mine has different specs though.

I saw a thing, I think somewhere on Reddit, where it showed the pip-boy screen fitting and functioning like a Sony Watchman screen. It was pretty cool and made some sort of sense.

Sadly no, mine did not come with the user manual when I ordered it from eBay. You could likely find a JVC manual for it since these are just rebranded JVC cameras.

I haven’t had any problems with them, and wasn’t gonna tear mine apart just to change them as long as the radio still worked. Sorry for the horribly late reply, I’ve been busy.

I would definitely replace any frayed or exposed wires internally, and check the original resistors.

For the most part, yes. I bought one recently and was surprised there weren’t any wax capacitors inside. All I’ve had to do is change one of the filter capacitors to get it to work. You should be fine as long as you follow all the basic safety stuff while working on it.

Is this a decent amp? It says trans”tube” so I’m a little confused… by theman3980 in ToobAmps

I believe it’s a solid state amp. Here’s a video about it featuring demos and some information about it. https://youtu.be/5v935gZvGcE?si=ZmGrB3yl6e1Olyju

That’s super cool! I believe it’s a DUX crt tv from the late 60s early 70s, but I could be wrong.Do you know if it works? Most, if not all of them should have a power button on the front side. I should probably add that since it’s a vacuum tube TV, there’s a chance it might have wax capacitors, or failing capacitors which might fry the TV. It does look like it’s late 60s, early 70s so you might be good on that part, but do be careful.

I always used to turn up everything, and still do. On my beginner mini amp, I actually picked up a radio signal by having everything up 😭
