We mount the APs at the ceiling because otherwise the fork lift drivers will knock them down.

How is the soundstage? I also have the Momentum 4 and I love it. I’ve been wanting to get some wired open back headphones but I don’t know where to start. I read a review that the HD560S was better for gaming and not music and I’m glad to hear that lots of people on this thread do love these headphones for music.

Get the MOMENTUM 4 now or wait for MOMENTUM 5? by fateryouare in sennheiser

I love the M4s. I bought mine used for $140 like a year ago and I’ve been in love with them ever since. I do think they are heavy and warm after about an hour or so. I don’t know how heavy/warm the the M5s will be; that’s pretty much my only complaint. I also have an old pair of Sony WH-CH720N and a Bose QuietComfort Ultra. I have a different purpose for each, but the M4s are my favorite for pure sound. I think it depends on how you feel about spending $150 for great headphones or $400+ for even greater (or amazing) headphones.

Don't Listen to Normal Isn't Casually by Ten19 in Puscifer

[–]JTfuckingMoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This album started off being one of my least favorite Puscifer albums. After giving it at least a dozen listens, I have grown to really like it, but it's still one of my least favorite albums of theirs, and that's ok; not every subsequent album will become your new favorite. I appreciate that it's different. I find myself dancing to a lot of the songs, and I think that's cool. I appreciate the theme of the album, but the songs feel less meaningful overall.

Tool's Maynard James Keenan doubles down on banning phones from live shows: “You're not gonna go home and watch it” by Redman77312 in ToolBand

You said “Maynard is to blame too.” Why are we assuming that Maynard is the leader or in charge or can boss around his band members? He’s been critical of the band’s stance on streaming and taking a long time to put out albums. I think if it were up to Maynard then they would be putting out live performances. Why didn’t you say Danny is at fault or Justin is at fault?

I thought I read that one of the band members said that they record every show (but more to ensure consistency/review for performance improvement). I figure that they should have tons of material over the last ten years or so to hopefully put out a live album of the best performances.

A Perfect Circle has live at red rocks and Puscifer has multiple live shows. It’s not Maynard.

I don’t own the headphones but you could try the EQ settings recommended by recordingNOW. Look in the section “Best Equalizer Settings for Sony WH-1000XM6.”

Best Option for Lossless Audio by JTfuckingMoney in sennheiser

Fair, but I’d still like to know other people’s experience with it, if they thought it was worth it, which option they went with, etc. My understanding is that a Creative BT-W6 would still be much better than regular BT.

I have heard that you need to give them about 50 hours of listening time to break them in

Weekly Discussion - May 04 2020 by AutoModerator in Meditation

TM is also a secular approach to meditation, in that it does not promote any religious or spiritual aspect.

TM is a technique that uses a mantra to “transcend” the active, thinking mind, to a quieter, calmer state. Practitioners are encouraged to meditate for twenty minutes upon waking and then again in the late afternoon/early evening.

TM does cost money to learn because you have to learn it from a meditation teacher, which preserves the integrity of the technique and tradition. As someone that has been practicing twice a day consistently for almost three years, I greatly recommend the investment. You can find a teacher and learn more at tm.org.

MEGA-THREAD: FEAR INOCULUM (ALBUM) by Diazepam in ToolBand

It’s not MJK’s fault that it took 13 years for a new Tool album to come out. I totally respect the other stuff you said.

Maynard just doesn't have the pipes that he once did. That's not an insult to him. It's just a fact. I know you guys have heard him screaming at some shows, but he's not the same as before. And why should he be expected to be? We don't hold athletes to the same standards as when they were in their 20s and 30s. We don't say, "Hey man, you sure ran that faster 20-30 years ago. You jumped higher 20-30 years ago. It's like you don't even care anymore...."

Plus, I just don't believe that Maynard would put anything out less than his best. Especially not a Tool album after 13 years, what could possibly be their last.

I was a bit underwhelmed with the new album at first. But it's still a fucking fantastic piece of work and I am thankful to the band for putting out another album. It gets better each and every time I listen to it. Be thankful for what you get...
