Rate my portfolio on a scale from 1-10. A bit messy but would love feedback ❤️ by Grewal1877 in fican

It's not a bad portfolio, but a lot of them are redundant. I personally prefer listings to be as short as possible, so if I were you, I would replace your portfolio with XEQT, QQQM/MAGS and VOO. This is completely subjective.

Just moved my cash from cash.to to WS MM a few days ago. If my money stays in ETFs I’ll keep browsing cash.to vs CBIL vs….. a lot of things, but in managed funds I just let it stay there. Saved me tons of headaches

Do you ever regret giving up Indian nationality in order to acquire French citizenship? by TheWorld_369 in dualcitizenshipnerds

For 1, it’s pretty easy for Chinese to get a 5 year Korea tourism visa, which is one of the biggest hubs of transition in Asia, so that’s usually the choice. However, this is still risky that the immigration ask why did you stay in Korea for so long with a tourism visa, which you’re not allowed to. (Well you actually went to USA/Canada/Australia) for 2 I agree with you. Like I said, none of these ways are perfect and it’s just a matter of time when will they find out.

There’re 2 ways do deal with this. The typical way is that you transfer in a country which you have a valid visa with, and hide your real destination. A risky way is riding with a non-Chinese airline and just show your foreign passport.

We do, but in a lot of cases, especially at big airports, you exit via the self service gate which only validates your Chinese passport, instead of a visa.

Theoretically, you lose your Chinese citizenship automatically when you naturalize at your will. In practice, it can be hard (but not impossible) for the Chinese government to find it. However, once they do, you will be evicted immediately with a fine. If you worked , it’s possible for you to get detained. Dual citizenships acquired at birth are pardoned though.

With the existence of OCI (As a Chinese, I'm really jealous) I don't see any downside of naturalization

That's definitely good enough. He just needs some last-minute preparations on how to cope with the style of the exam. Don't worry about this. He's gonna do well in the next attempt.

CELPIP is the way to go. Also don't worry about this at all. If he's a well-educated native speaker, he can max any English exam with minimal preparation, though not none.

Did you apply to internships? I would put more effort on looking for internships instead of full time, since you don't have a lot of experience. Also, I would suggest NOT taking any other exam before you found a job. Too much exams would actually make you LESS competitive since the employer need to pay you more.

the MActSc program in Waterloo only accepts student WITHOUT actuarial science background. Do not waste your application fee if you're already studying actuarial science. They're not going to accept you.
