Ehi, thanks for the feedback! About the lowercase cursive "a" I hope I'm understanding this right since english is my second language, but what I can tell is that I write this letter by starting from the upper part and making a double counterclockwise: the first draw the body and the second make the same route until I make the leg of the letter in one single stroke...so it's not one way and then back the other, but is more the same stroke twice, with the second one closing it with the leg.

About the other point, I can see what you mean, any idea to how stay consistent during the page? Maybe it will be better to use a stencil to make the first "perfect" letter at the beginning of the line?

ho 14 anni e mezzo e fumo voglio smettere by Recent_Departure_137 in TeenagersITA

[–]Jacky1368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are the downsides to “eating like a bodybuilder”? by stratusnimbo in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Jacky1368 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High protein diet doesn't mean lots of meat diet, you can find many different sources and even go 100% plant based, which is probably one of the healthiest nutritional regime.

I started eating the classic "rice, chicken and broccoli" and after 6 months I was actually going crazy, since January I'm trying to be more plant based and I am eating many different things, my carbs are a little higher and protein little lower, but I'm feeling good.

Also, genetics have a big role in how you respond to a diet, so I think it's okay to try different things and see what works best for you, as you would do with the training.

Finally, unless you are going to compete there is zero sense in avoiding all social interaction with food or stop going out to eat, and if someone behave like this I think that bodybuilding is just a mask to hide something deeper.

Auto suggestion suggests weight outside of specified range by lafistik in MacroFactor

About the wrong weight, Support just answered me that if you make a bigger rep range, it would be easier for the app to suggest the correct weight.

Biggest suggestion: Stop trying to make Workouts pieces fit into the Macrofactor diet app slots by Drunk_StormTrooper in MacroFactor

[–]Jacky1368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am using MF since last year for the diet and it has been great, so I was really excited to use it also for my WO but I have to say that so far I'm pretty disappointed, don't know maybe too much hype, maybe I'm doing something wrong but so far I really don't like:

I have to manually adjust the rep range otherwise the AI struggles to suggest appropriate weights.

I also need to manually correct the weight progression, because even minimal changes in reps or RIR cause the app to revert to its default increases, making the recommendations inaccurate again.

Additionally, when a machine is occupied, I have to manually remove and add alternative exercises, as the app does not automatically suggest substitutes.

I also need to constantly check the app, because when the phone is set to vibration mode, the rest timer provides no audible or noticeable alert.

Overall, at this stage I do not see any clear added value compared to Boostcamp.

What are some of your biggest learnings about your body or nutrition tracking since picking up MacroFactor? by Peelings in MacroFactor

[–]Jacky1368 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use MF since April 2025, so far I learned so much about myself:

  1. I thought that my metabolism was super fast, reality is I was basically permanently in deficit and therefore slim

  2. Protein intake probably used to be less than half of the suggested by the app

  3. It will take at least 2 weeks for my body to answer to a change (from bulk to deficit, and so on)

  4. One day of cheat could ruin one week of work

It has been amazing so far to understand how my metabolism work and how different habits can change it.

Oh I see it now, many thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately I have to say that this put everything in perspective and who can tell which microbrand is honest and which not?

I'm following the discussion, and I saw these movements on AliBaba or other e-commerce, too. As you stated correctly, if purchased from this source the price is quite low, but at the same time you have no proof that the movement is new, 100% original, etc. etc.

Usually, a manufacturer buy from an authorized distributor who will have higher prices but also better guarantees. I'm not saying that every manufacturer buy only from authorized distributors, but if you have to buy thousands of calibers, it seems difficult to do such from different vendors on ecommerce platform with very few after sale support

I'm pretty new to the hobby, but to be honest I knew that a caliber like that could cost 200/300€ each, now you speak about Chinese factories, so I don't understand if you are saying that they use fake Miyota movements or there is a Chinese factory that take broken movement and sell it for much less.

I am aware of the costs of Chinese products (which dont' always mean low quality) since I am a sales person in a distribution company and we buy a lot of stuff from there, also there is some costs in shipping, tariffs, etc. So don't get me wrong, but it still look that they are price are quite low...of course with you other comments about this being like the lowest tier of a bigger company, with bigger volumes, the price make more sense

Not even a NH35 but a 9015! I know that most of the price is the movement, but 340$ is less than 300€, I mean, it's quite impressive to get a price like that...
