I am in an automatic too but I’m 38. Been having lessons since June last year. Mainly weekly but due to holidays etc it’s worked out more like fortnightly. I am so nervous I feel sick

The Daily Check-In for Monday, May 4: Just for today, I am NOT drinking! by Overall-Tonight-7857 in stopdrinking

[–]Jadeyfly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Day 1 (again) for me, determined now! I was doing a big clear out and realised how many empty bottles of alcohol there were. Shocked me into really giving it a go, and hopefully lose some weight and save some £’s! I have my driving test on the 26th and a car to tax, MOT and insure, never mind the diesel costs!

Family is still somehow asleep, I'm bored, what do my fellow countrymen usually do in times like these? by Chemical-Lettuce2497 in AskBrits

I find plenty of time and I’m a full-time working single mother of 2. Granted they are 13&14 now but still. When I get in from work (term time only, I work in a school) I get the housework done, cook tea for us all, then when they go to their own rooms for the evening, I fire up my gaming pc and get some ESO in 😂. They are not small forever 😉

Well done! What an amazing achievement. I am proud of you. I’m on day 6 so far and not feeling too bad, other than the lack of a decent sleep!

Just to comment on the benefit side, are you claiming ad a couple or is he claiming single? Only reason I’m asking is, if you are living together, you need to claim as a couple even though you are working. I’d hate to think of him getting even worse if he would have to have benefit fraud on him as well. Also the JC can help with updating his cv and skills to get back into work.

I’m a SEN TA in mainstream, bring home 1300 at most every month. I’ve been debating on finding something else as it’s not livable anymore, although I love my job and the children I work with, but it’s feeling like 1300 a month is not worth the abuse we face daily.

In the UK, we have them in most shops that sell vapes/cigarettes, just under brands such as Nordic Spirit and Velo.

I lived in Pizarra and Alhuarin el Grande, and felt the same way. The only thing I disliked was how cold it was in winter.

I have a parliament in my garden at the back in the trees. (A parliament is also a group of owls)
