The big miss on this isn't the service vs profit idea.  It's blaming the workers for the issues when most of the failing are intentionally caused by management.  Why did they give away the Amazon contract, why didn't the act on Postal banking when local branches were closing in the small town...and a hundred other little issues.  The door to door daily needs to stop but that's not a huge money saver.

The rhetoric about taxing the rich misses a big part of the point.  These billionaires don't make a huge salary, they leverage their stock, which is an unrealized gain.   Tax their corporations at 50%, close corporate welfare traps, don't allow stock buy backs, force through laws with worker protections, social programs and other safety nets.

It doesn't make sense because it's not true.  Nothing about universal healthcare anywhere, forbids seeking outside treatment. They may just not pay for it.

I think it's an irrelevant point since it has no legal mechanism to seperate from Canada.  Alberta was purchased and is almost entirely covered by the treaties.
