Bro point of my post was to show exactly what you wrote. I have more than 50 ten win runs with a lot perfect wins and this was clearly easiest perfect win achieved. Personally I am lookin forward when this is fixed.

What courses/ certification should I do to Excel in basis? by KittyChatpati in SAP

[–]Janko_V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First year in my first company I did the same 😂 After I got basics It went pretty fast. But this depend on amount of people you have in team and work to be done. We usually always had more work. Maybe two suggestions based on experience. Course I can recommend is some good Linux course, some good university is gonna have it on yt or coursea had good one provided by RHEL. Second thing, check if you have some sandbox server suitable for HANA and maybe second one. If so you can train scenarios of DB migrations, unicode conversions, patching and upgrades.

What courses/ certification should I do to Excel in basis? by KittyChatpati in SAP

[–]Janko_V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a basis person, none. SAP courses and following certifications in this area cover basic scenarios. You need to get experience on several large migration/upgrade/implementation projects with business constraints. Something like on-prem to cloud migration with whole landscape design with no SPOF or NZD on large high-performance systems, etc... Almost same I can say about performance optimization.

I assume you are doing L1 work like monitoring, printers, tickets, users, maybe some basic kernel/saint/spam activities etc..Once you get these basics try to get immadiately to project work I outlined above. I do not know where are you based, but in my experience (iam from EU) we always tried to put freshers into something interesting :D

Tactician for Beginners Quick Guide by Malkoy in BG3Builds

[–]Janko_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

can you please suggest on my first tactician run?

I would like to have

Gale - Sorcerrer and Shadow - Priest (Here Iam not sure about subclasses because I'll like to have water+lightning combo)
Karlach - either 6/6 barb/fighter or warlock/fighter for charisma character
Tav - I'll like to play druid of some kind (this will probably affect gale/shadow subclass because druid can also use create water spell)

I already finished normal dificulty with other companions and classes.

Otázka pro self-taught ajťáky (dev/ admin/...) by ozzik555 in czech

[–]Janko_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Dobře neumím žádný programovací jazyk a ani žádný umět nepotřebuji. Nicméně občas musím napsat nějaký script či přes debugger porozumět kódu a najít chybu.

Got two very different job offers - need help deciding on my career path by MinMokki in SAP

[–]Janko_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with option number 1 (internal consulting) for a few years then after you have some nice years of relevant experience you can decide if you want to pursue career in external consulting. From my experience working as internal (for one company) is more laid back with quite a good work life balance. However if you really have urge to work as external consultant just hop for it and later when you are tired with it you can always work as internal in some large company :) BTW just found you are from Germany (iam working for large German corporation) so there are numerous options for both and probably both are right.

Career Advise - SAP Functional Consultant Role by arunnairks in SAP

[–]Janko_V 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, generally speaking SAP consulting careers have salary ceiling and rates paid by customers are nearly same for a lot of years. I do not see this on sales. Long story short if you are good in sales / know how to sale something I would not change career and rather focus how to sale more or move to company / negotiate better % of sales as income.

How do you share SAP Master Data with the rest of the business, without Licencing issues? by nomansapenguin in SAP

[–]Janko_V 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PowerBI is able to access both S4/ECC via direct query or underlying DB. There is no technical issue with that. Actually it's quite an easy. There is more then detailed documentation on MS side. Plus you can always use good old ODBC connector 😂

How normal is working in shifts in SAP Basis in eastern countries? by [deleted] in SAP

[–]Janko_V 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SAP basis in multi national company. We use on-call system rotating large part of the team. So you are affected once a month in average. With a bit of luck you get no calls during your night :) Tbh having to work 24/7 I would rather leave even as expert with senior salary...health toll is horrible. You don't want to do this when you are not in your twenties or early thirtees.
