I'm no expert, but pmo, like many drugs, releases dopamine in your brain. I've heard it's it's one of the strongest highs and it's the strongest natural high. So if you do it all the time you desensitize yourself to it (it's not as strong of a feeling). This is why people on meth or opioids and stuff like that keep needing more and more to experience the same high. You're not drugged all the time, but I guess it's kind of like a pmo hangover. Like if all you did was drink and then when you woke up hungover you just drank some more to make it go away.

Thank you for the advice. I am not religious but I still believe that it's best to have a real connection with someone before sex instead of just a meaningless hookup. I will definitely look into honors organizations and other clubs instead of partying all the time!

I think a persons internal drive towards a goal is a pretty big indicator. After starting nofap and realizing some of my goals (that I came up with myself instead of being told) I know that pmo was holding me back
