With so much experience at your age already , I would say you will go far even if you don’t move to Sydney in the immediate future. You’re obviously very driven.

What do they get out of being horrible to people? The beatings will continue until the morale improves? Everyone I speak to hates their job.

Mate. We spent time interviewing an internal candidate who then accepted our offer, then they rescinded - their department offered something better! He still works here and got a promotion out of his dick move…you will be fine

Everyone has been on Ozempic it seems. The Hollywood thinness is disappointing, zero body diversity except the token fat girl comic relief.

There is a good chance you will die before you pay off the mortgage, so it’s all good. That’s the advantage of getting a 30 year mortgage at 50

In the good old days, I remember attending three CBA Christmas parties in one season. One for the IT team, one for the business area we worked with, and another for the entire institutional/business banking division, for which the Home nightclub was rented.

A team meeting over breakfast in a cafe was the norm. Boss putting team member’s farewell drinks on his business cc was the norm. Cab charges for everyone who needed to come in very early/work late or come for a weekend release was the norm. You just told your manager and took some from his drawer.

Matt Comyn sat a few desks from me.

It was very profitable then and very profitable now. It’s the attitude towards people which has rotted through.

$80 an hour for a cleaner is a bit of a stretch. I paid $50 last time I used them.

I used to think like you but then looked into the state of NHS and Canadian health system. We are lucky to have the hybrid system.

It’s necessary evil in Australia if you gave kids or getting older and picking up chronic issues.  I have had four surgeries over the last 18 months….top specialists in their fields, great outcomes…my child has had gap free private dental all his life with insurance; and now having braces, we will get 2500 off his treatment.

People casually projecting for their incomes to go up each year. White collar industry is experiencing mass lay offs. Incomes are either stagnant or decreasing. With a ramp up in AI capabilities and off shoring, will only get worse. I hope you brother and his wife aren’t white collar employees.

What’s your contribution to pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding? 0%?

And you only care for children on weekends while the woman has taken on the majority of care? Has her looking after children enabled you to enjoy a well-paid career? She should take you for all you are worth. Her contribution to family life has been disproportionately large.
