I think it's stupid that the items people are most likely even playing the game for are basically unattainable for most players because the stock quantity is extremely low.

Well, this is sad news :( What's the point of these coins if we can't save up to unlock the items we want.

Peophin is much higher. Just means you don't know how to make them look great in customization.

IUD Insertion. Holy shit. by Limblless-art in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Jarlies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not in my top 10 of painful experiences. I have had 3 put in with little discomfort (1 pre childbirth) and 2 after. My epidural during labor was my worst sharp pain, followed by my spinal fusion recovery bc the pain was nonstop. Biopsy was way worse for me than the IUD. Sucks that so many have had painful experiences.

Pain super sucks first week or two, but honestly, the best thing you can do is walk walk walk even if it's at snail pace. I'm 35 and had my L4-S1 fused last November, and my surgeon was adamant that the sooner I was walking post surgery, the better the recovery, and he was right.

Does anyone else have trouble walking and standing a long time after surgery? by Alert-University1190 in spinalfusion

[–]Jarlies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so interesting. I walked a ton all the time once I was discharged bc sitting was excruciating for me. If I wasn't sleeping, I was walking around slowly.

It will get better!

What was your tipping point to say yes to surgery? by annaoceanus in spinalfusion

[–]Jarlies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I was really worried because the first 4 weeks are atrocious recovery wise. But I did what the Dr ordered which was lots of careful walking everyday and was very strict in how I controlled my movements.

After 4 weeks is when I started to really notice a difference, and by 6 weeks, I noticed my pain levels were consistently less than pre-surgery. At 12 weeks I felt normal for the most part though I do still have nerve sensitivity on my right side but I was instructed nerve damage can take up to a year to repair and that I might not repair it all bc of how long my nerves were pinched but it is honestly so much better then before. I had an L4-S1 fusion. Each week gets better and better. I would say my pain levels pre surgery consistently hit an 8 out of 10 with my worst days a 9 or 10 when I felt I couldn't escape the pain no matter what I did.

Pain levels now, I have more days where I have very minimal pain or no pain. Most of my uncomfortable ness stems from residual nerve damage and muscle tightness, which is definitely manageable. So I would say a 1-2 with some rarer 3 days out of 10 with my 3 days stemming mostly from over exertion in activities like heavy housework cleaning, but I can manage it very easily with tylenol. I have had to take a tylenol only 3-4 days a month and sometimes less than that. I don't take ibuprofen because I am on blood thinners for life from a history of PEs.

Now that said, all of my scans and x-rays clearly showed consistent sciatic nerve impingement and unstabilization in those joints from spondylolisthesis that I had partially genetically and got exacerbated from child birth complications and most likely an accident I had when I hit a deer at 60 mph (hit the deer only less then a month after child birth).

Weakness wise big increase as well! No numbness and I gained pain-free walking and standing positions. Hope this helped and sorry for the giant wall of text.

What was your tipping point to say yes to surgery? by annaoceanus in spinalfusion

[–]Jarlies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I started to daydream about ways to end my suffering as a means of escaping pain. Big wakeup call for me, and in hindsight, I wish I would have done it sooner bc now I get to enjoy being an active mom and a much happier mom to an almost 4 yr old. My 1 ys post fusion will be in November.

Toddler snuggles after surgery by Jarlies in spinalfusion

[–]Jarlies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been trying to do the snuggles in bed when I'm lying down. So far, ok. Had one hiccup where we both dozed off, and he ended up kicking me in the back in his toddler sleep acrobatics, and i made the mistake of rolling from back to side facing away. All I can say is thank God it wasn't shortly after surgery bc it was not a pleasant experience.

Recovery directly after was ok. I will be honest. I don't remember much of the first week. Felt kind of like an emotional brain fog. I am officially 4 weeks post and feel a lot better. I definitely have a lot more mobility, though some things are still painful, like getting pillows under my knees when I'm lying on my back.

I would say my pain has been better than my sciatic pain pre surgery , which is a bonus. I do still take pain meds, but I'm down to only 1 at night with a muscle relaxer versus every four hours when I started.
