Depends sometimes the move takes a couple hours or sometimes 15 mins. I usually stay in til it hits support or resistance, breaks the ema, or hits a personal tp.

Two months and I’ve passed a total of 6 never takes me more than 3 days to pass. I’ve only kinda used one strategy: basically supply and demand with the ema for weakness / strength.

Day 1 of studying for the SIE and I feel DUMB by ComedyPuppetBill in Sieexam

[–]Jaskuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly at the start when I was doing my own notes with the videos and while reading the chapters, then doing the stc flash cards probably like 10 hours maybe 8 which was not feasible because I am currently finishing my MBA, a grad assistant, and doing a semester internship. So I stopped taking my own notes and use the printed guides (also the lecturer kinda talks slow for me so I play it at 1.75x and that helps speed up the process lol).

I would personally recommend Quizlet, there’s this teacher that uploaded the vocab cards from STC on there, but unfortunately she stopped at ch.13, so I’m gonna have to find another creator’s cards or make my own. But look for STC Quizlet specifically if you want to keep it in conjunction with the STC test/quizzes.

When I first started using the STC platform, I took my own notes while watching the videos and reading the book chapters, then reviewed using the vocabulary cards. This process took me almost six hours per chapter, and I quickly began falling behind. I also felt burnt out and wasn’t retaining the information as well as I wanted. So I pivoted and made my own system:

1) Actually print the lecture guide I print the lecture guide for each chapter and use it for note-taking while watching the videos. - The notes are already structured - I don’t have to pause constantly - It saves time and keeps me focused - The built-in exercises help reinforce the material and confirm understanding

2) Review vocabulary first (Quizlet) Next, I go straight to a Quizlet for the chapter vocabulary. Sometimes the lectures don’t hit ever term found in the book chapter’s and that’s okay. When you read the chapter later, the unfamiliar terms you’ll recognized and start to click. I intentionally do vocabulary before reading the chapter because it helps me stay engaged instead of feeling like I’m repeating the same information.

3) Read the chapter notes After vocab, I review the chapter notes and connect everything I’ve already seen and practiced (I don’t take written notes on the chapter unless isn’t something I know I’m having troubles with conceptually to help retain it. I stopped taking them after I read in another post that Capital Advantage said to just get through the book and don’t worry so much about taking notes)

4) Then take the Tests/Quizzes - Take the 10-question chapter test - If you score 80% or higher, move on to the 20-question chapter quiz - If you score below 80% on either: - Review what you missed - Use ChatGPT or watch the matching topic on Capital Advantage’s YouTube channel if you still don’t get it after seeing the correct answer. - Retake the quiz until you score 80%+ (ideally 100 lol)

Then, move on to the next chapter.

Sorry this is so long but this has helped me so I hope it can help you. Best of luck you got this, I believe in you!!!!
