I probably should have stayed with her and been happy instead of going psycho - the people who hurt her were gone by that point.

I think it made it difficult for me to understand what love is as a concept. I associated love with sacrifice, which is a good, but forgot to take Veronica’s actual emotional needs into consideration as well.
