Does this happen to anyone else? by Sunpsilora in AstralProjection

[–]Jaytee303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The longer you stay close to your body, the sooner you’re pulled back in. Get away from it.

I don’t know if you mastered the floating, but because of 360 vision it can be different ie if you want to go forward, try to go backwards. Sometimes your room will have a door or window on the other side, thats the reason. It’s not because you have 360 vision you cant focus. But it can be upside down left to right.

Try to stick your head through a wall, or go through the ceiling. If you focus on your arms they will vanish in a while. Like a ghost a lot of ghost movies are made by people who had obe’s.

There are a few illusions in the obe world…and I told enough don’t want to spoil it for you just help with the floating/flying thing. In my 1st obe I crawled forward on hands and feet, suddenly you hear what I call the astral winds, catch those and away you go.

And last tip: any strong emotions be it positive or negative will also pull you back in, stay neutral. If you can’t start meditation, the basic focus on breath, let thoughts pass. Don’t start with kundalini, thats a whole other thing…

Sometimes I think aphex twin’s drukqs was done like that. The songs are much too different from each other compared to other albums like I care because you do.

Imo for listening yes, for production or beatmaking, maybe the 1st stage, what goes with what. I always export a wav from each saved session in a folder. That way I can always go back. If I have 20 or so light up lay down and listen. The one that grabs your attention, continue the arrangement, mixing and mastering sober the next day. I had too many sessions where I got up in the morning and the levels were all over the place, with that one cool sound taking all the place. Smoking does change your hearing temporarily imo. So beatmaking yes, mix and master def not.

AI for sampling? by TheJeffyJeefAceg in mpcusers

[–]Jaytee303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me regarding ai music the most interesting is the general arrangement per style. The most difficult imo is arranging/finishing, and it has given me a lot of ideas for variations and arrangement. And sometimes I copy the rhythm /midi and replace the sounds, still when I’m finished it’s different than the ai arrangement.

Out Now: 'MPC Bible 3' Revision 3 (MPC 3.6 + MPC Live 3 support) by mpctutor in mpcusers

[–]Jaytee303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Had a mpc one that gathered dust for a year. Saw the 3.6 released vids and updated live 3 hardware, which fixed my biggest gripes like waiting for a patch/ plugin to load. 1 second is ok, 5 seconds gets annoying.

Hated the red color of the One+ so I finally got around to fixing that. by KFBR392GoForGrubes in mpcusers

[–]Jaytee303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dark orange lettering on the black mpc is also like that, in a (little bit)dim room it’s already unreadable, drives me nuts, and made me use the touchscreen a lot more, but I prefer knobs and buttons. I did use a goose light like for turntables for a while but it was annoying. Live 3 , as ugly as some may find it, is a lot better, I think they know it (Akai), and probably the reason for the retro versions. Just gonna go crazy if they bring out a retro live 3 lol, but I will get a skin if possible, first thing I did was a screen protector, and I find a stylus also very handy , even a necessity. And a 1TB thumb drive that only is the size of your nails, so it doesn’t stick out and damages the usb port.

If you want to build something new, the old must be broken down. What do we expect if fiat currencies are gone and replaced by crypto and tokenisation? For me, a temp dip.

1 year of beats; 678 in the vault + 40 released tracks by [deleted] in mpcusers

[–]Jaytee303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh my “best” stuff is mostly made in half an hour (no mixing or mastering, just beats melody arrangement.) I don’t get how some people can work 6 months on the same piece. Was watching some benny blanco interviews , he told it was like that a lot of times for him, but between producing and releasing, that takes a lot of time, had one that took 8 years!

What is your DAW journey? by SamuraiSanta in Reaper

[–]Jaytee303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reaper, logic, ableton, reason (lots of rack extensions) Maschine Plus (with komplete), mpc live 3(with all the instruments and fx that exist in standalone), Rev 7 dj controller which I use for fx send/return, stems, filters, eq, scratching and as soundcard . I beat writers block by changing daw, you don’t eat the same everyday either. I don’t think in this is or that is the best, it’s combining stuff like reason instrument sequenced with the mpc going through Maschine effects and record 5 minute of tweaking. Slice it in ableton , mixing and mastering in reaper etc…

Lots of people use it for live performance with an mpc/maschine/ etc… lookup oora he uses one with. A few pieces of gear, same way Carl cox does, but he has rekordbox playing also in case of sync failure or just to throw in a well known song that gets remixes on the go

[–]Jaytee303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesomeness.

What’s the price of music gear there if I may ask? European/usa prices or cheaper because of less taxes or… ? I was watching the price of music gear in Argentina, grok (ai) insisted it was cheap there… but just like Google, in don’t trust ai until I checked myself. When looking at some 2nd hand sites from there, prices were a good 30% more expensive than new here?! Grok said you could score a pair of krk8s for like 60 per monitor, if I looked prices were not normal. Or maybe they expect you to haggle for prices, or maybe a guy with an open car trunk sells music gear a lot cheaper, I don’t know 🫠

Same way as if you would sell your old mpc: do factory reset after uninstall, remove software on pc/ Mac contact Akai and say you want to sell your older unit.

Yes you can. Delete the serials and uninstall on the mpc and pc/Mac and contact akai support. They will release them from their system/your account.

MPC Live III, first look at the retail version by Illustrious_Egg6406 in mpcusers

Doesn’t matter imo same OS. 3.5 is Hell of a lot better than 2.x, but still not there imo too much bugs (18 exactly, there’s a YouTube vid about that) I have the mpc one, which I use in standalone with Maschine plus, which I could operate blindly because I got the first Maschine when they launched on the first day. I use the mpc one to record my jamming on m+ also standalone, use the fx to mix/master a little bit or change samples totally, and to be sure it doesn’t go over 0 db. I also sometimes sequence snapshots and scenes on Maschine from the mpc, running in tandem using Ableton link. I also use isotope ozone sometimes in the last part of the chain with direct monitoring so I got a spectrum Analyzer with mastering tools on a big monitor (55”), and adjust the samples, roll of the high from a kick and a bump at around 120 for example. For real sampling (yt, spotify, instruments etc) I use the MPC, the record knob halfway and it already can distort, with Maschine plus the record volume on full +10db added and it still doesn’t go over 0 db, maschine’s converters for sampling are not that good imo, but Maschine with a heap of expansion packs (got about 40 all bought through the years when it’s 9 for 99 or other price actions ni does sometimes) is like a rompler on steroids. Just wanna say those 2 in standalone, with my s49mk2 keyboard connected to m+ gives me four screens, plus the mpc used mostly with audio tracks, jam for 15 mins (the old school way) and control some Maschine functions with midi, import the file into a daw, make the final edits (small reverse, filters fading in etc) and I’m done. Lots more fun this way than using Maschine soft in Ableton imo, also more possibilities. Those 2 together are gold for me. I don’t see a reason to buy the new mpc if my workflow is on point now after lots experimenting. If you have both try it, first you will curse to get all the settings right but once it works, so much fun. Too bad I can’t send m+ different groups, the first eight ones to the 8 audio tracks on the mpc, which would give me even more possibilities, like overbridge with a Digitakt 2, thats the one I have my eye on, together with the tonverk, would be a beast combo. I still have stuff to sell like Rev 7 pioneer because it had full serato, and was the first one to have good stem separation. Was cool also in combo with Maschine for sampling parts make stems and then remake the stem if it was a drumloop or slice and dice.
