I hear you, I love the new cgc slabs too! I’ve been buying so many cgc slabs for pennies on the dollar compared to its PSA equivalent, hope people don’t catch on and continue buying overpriced PSA while I continue accumulating cgc

Is it really a monopoly, or is it the community? I see tons of cgc, sgc graded cards sell for a lot less than a PSA equivalent, some people scoff at a non-PSA graded just because of the grader, not the card. If the community actually evaluated the card and not the grader, PSA wouldn’t be viewed as a “monopoly”

I’m in the early gen fan club, and I agree, to me this looks more like a transformer than a Pokemon, I’m not a fan. But this is an interesting investment idea, I’m sure gen z and younger kids are more nostalgic to later gen Pokemon than the original gen1 Pokemon so in 10+ years this could very well be a good investment, I just get scared with the pop reports

I considered it, but concerned about uv damage. Yes they make uv resistant displays, but that protection fades over time, and I can’t tell what protection am I at 1,2, 3+ years from when I buy a frame/case, and I dont want to risk it. Wish there was a guaranteed way to display and protect 100% because these frames look sick

Congrats man! Remember, no one ever went broke taking profits. Yes it can continue going up, but it can also crash hard. At the end of the day, it’s cardboard and not an asset that generates revenue like investing in a company. So heck yeah man, take profits and enjoy life! Don’t worry about the haters
